| About Danielle Boiardi |
|
Danielle Boiardi has been writing and playing music in the Hudson Valley and NYC for the past two years and has just finished her first self- titled full length CD. Most of the songs were recorded in a strange array of at- home studio spaces with the help of other songwriters and friends such as Mark Ormerod of Superphase, Steve Heineman, and John Stern of Perfect Thyroid. Her songs tell stories about everything from the diaries of Italian immigrant family, to parallels of performance anxiety and the experience of swimming with sharks, to odd romantic confessionals. Her songwriting has been described as "cerebral and emotional" and her voice "candid and minty"-Spin Resonance Media. She has performed with both The Pushstars and Michael Franti and Spearhead.
Danielle plays regularly in New Paltz, NY. She gets off watching old live video of Jimmy Page, lived in Tuscany for 5 years, speaks fluent Italian, restores gilded antiques, loves to eat egg and swiss sandwiches for breakfast, and has a 17lb cat named Rufus.
