when I was young our family moved a lot - Seattle to Austin was the first big one. Then around Texas, most recently to California and back up to Seattle. so we (my sister and I) grew up in these partitions of one to four years at the most. when I began writing songs, about two years ago, it started with "September," the month we moved back to Seattle. although now it seems I can only write love songs, which makes sense considering what, or who has been on my mind.
someday I will get around to writing out a full song on the piano - I only have phrases right now, verses and choruses that almost fit together, but still need something . . . maybe I will even pick up the violin which has been gathering dust for five years in my closet. but right now its just guitar at live shows, and if I'm feeling adventurous, the ukulele, which I got in Kuaui last year.
if you feel like having any of my music on your ipod or computer you can download them below (covers are free, my original songs are $1). the tunnels without lights EP was produced by my friend Jack Conte. the distant shore EP is all acoustic and includes the first songs I wrote and the first recordings I made of them.
thanks for listening, hopefully for liking what you hear. if you drop by a show make sure to
catch me before or after. otherwise catch me on youtube
