Sounds Like
Umm... Orchestral. That's as far specific I can get.
Hi, I'm Daniel. I'm an orchestral composer wannabe. :)
Sorry for the really sequenced, MIDI-sounding audio on some of the songs. (That's what I get for using freeware...)
Sean Hannifin (who is AWESOME) rendered "Hiberna Divinus" with Garritan Personal Orchestra for me!!! Yay! Doesn't it sound awesome? THANK YOU SEAN!

:] Hmm, nope I don't remember that name but I do remember you. I was on vent....ermm..Stephens? >.> I randomly came into the channel you were in to just hang out. Umm, you with talkin' with someone else... I forgot his name.. =/ BUT! I do know/remember you.. Heh.. =D
hey daniel :) well, i don't have any formal training in theory (i'm self-taught) and use finale printmusic; i don't use midi sequencers your orchestrals are amazing! you must teach me your ways! :D
yeah, I've been using finale for a while i don't do any large-scale composing or anything i'm really busy, but when i have time, i use notepad to make some choral arrangements you should meet my friend aldric, he's a composer too you guys could have long intelluctual conversations about composing or help each other out he's really talented as far as music theory and ear training go (play's piano too) he's pretty much a genius, should add him as a friend, he has some of his compositions up on finale showcase
i have the full version of finale 2007. i need to upgrade to 08. and yeah it came with the GPO but it annoys me. for it advantage in real sound it lacks volume and other little things.
yeah :) my music myspace is on my friends list. The Game. and yes i love that series. I'm reading it with my girlfriend right now. she got me into it. im a late bloomer. im a little over half through with eclipse
Actually, I used to have almost exactly your setup. I had an older version of Sibelius as well as Garritan Personal Orchestra, which was a phenomenal mixture of instrument samples and notation software. It was great, but I've moved onto a program I deem as easier for me to use.
I use Propellerheads Reason as your brother might have told you, and I haven't had the money to buy MIDI keyboards or drum machines. I recieved a Digital Piano--Yamaha Clavinova--as a present for my birthday, and it has definitely served its purpose as an excellent tool for improvising new songs or playing old ones, but it is too big and bulky to be used in my own room for replacing "notation" devices.
So, yes, like Sibelius, Reason has a way you can input notes instead of playing them with a keyboard, which is what I really need and may be saving up for next, if not a very high-end performance computer. =]
What you say is quite true. Electronic music is still music, and doesn't make it any less than acoustical or "real" music.
Also, I do use reverb and delays in a lot of my music. I don't overuse it though, like many artists who discover the reverb effect. The music will become muddy-sounding, and actually not as full as the reverb would have intended your music to sound. I use effects with discretion.
As for Garage Band... heh... well, I can immediately tell if something is made in garage band, because usually the song is composed of loops only, and you can hear the discordance of loops used. Lots of Garage Band songs switch from rock in the beginning, to trance, then metal, then... ska. It's weird, and unnatural. People usually don't see the full potential of these programs, and so I feel by making my music, I can show others hopefully one way of grasping these programs with both hands and spitting out some great music.

hey apparently im joshs messenger so she said that she thinks your a GREAT friend and it would have been better that way
He he. I used Miroslav String Ensembles.
Well, I'm sure your money will be invested where it is necessary. You seem to have a good head on your shoulders... at least music-wise. =]
Just keep practicing with what you have now. If you do just enough with so little, you will be able to do more than enough with new things.

Ha ha ha ha. That's awesome bro. Thanks for being so appreciative of my music. Really. It's a big confidence booster. =]
Actually, yes. I was going to put it up for download just now, because you reminded me that it wasn't... up for download. =]
Hey, I understand.
Anyways, it's good to know he is your brother. You are both very talented. Quite...
Anyways, great music! I like your stuff as well.
Hey, thank you very much!
My composition "NeoBach" is actually based on a piece done by his son Carl Philipp Emanuel Bach or C.P.E. Bach, which is called Solfeggietto.
Proud Of You 2 Da Max...
