It's been a while since I updated this page so here it goes. I was born in Stockton, CA and raised in a household surrounded by music. My father was an accomplished musician, playing the guitar, bass, and piano, so it was only natural that I picked up music from my father. But at the age of 8, my life was completely and will forever be changed when my mother passed away from cancer. I leaned on music as a form of emotional expression, and music took me away from trying times. I started playing the drums for my father's church in Fresno, CA at the age of 10, but I became tired of playing music I wasn't necessarily interested in. So I began teaching myself to play the piano and loved writing songs as a littleboy; singing the words over and over again, so I wouldn't forget the melody because at the time I didn't know the notes I was singing. Later on I moved to Holland, MI, during this time I found Gospel music at a local church, where I had the opportunity to travel and perform with a gospel group as far as Paris, France: we also released two gospel albums during this time. Gospel music is the most spiritually uplifting thing I was ever exposed to. My Father is my inspiration because I feel none of this would be possible without Him. It was also during this time that I felt I grew as a musician, performer, and singer, because of the constant performances I was engaged in at various places across the midwest. After graduating high school, I moved back to California to pursue my dreams in the music industry. I understand that being an asian/american artist has some drawbacks and doubts, but I just love music and want to share that passion with others: no matter what race, color, or ethnic background...Because music is universal. My inspirations include: Boyz II Men, Tevin Campbell, Brian McKnight, Shai, Babyface, Usher, Fred Hammond, Kirk Franklin, Craig David and many other great singers/musicians.My album "Genesis," is still in works....to be honest it has been put on hold because I decided to finish up school before doing anything else. This is the beginning of my journey as I've wrote/produced/musically performed practically every song on the upcoming album that has a mixture of R&B, soul, gospel, Hip-Hop, and pop. I recently graduated from Sacramento State University, so NOW I can put more of my time towards my music.
