Bio:

.... ..

Since '85 he was mainly influenced by early hip-hop tracks. Until around '93/94 when he first had contact to early breakbeat/jungle-tracks, he rarely got in contact with electronic music that really convinced him. But to him this fresh new music seemed just like the perfect progression from hip-hop, so Daniel Fritschi started dj'ing in '95, fully focussed at jungle and drum&bass. After a few years he got more and more bored by the lack of further development of drum&bass releases and detroit electro and then techno came in his focus. Soon minimal and techno from cologne and berlin cought his attention...
He was one of the founders of EGO-club in duesseldorf/germany, which received a lot of attention for the double-CD "Live sets at EGO 1998-2000".

Daniel Fritschi started his record label level records duesseldorf in 2004 and had his debut-appearance on the level1 quartett ep 12".
With the level2 intonation ep, he released his first full 12" EP in 2005 and a contribution to the Senales EP on the mexican netlabel cyanrecs followed. In April 2006 he released one track on the london based sushitech-02 "hake lavasu ep", plus a remix-contribution for the Oliver Hacke remix-EP on the 6th release of level records.
April 2007 his remix of "Paracaidas" by Fax for the Mexican label Staticdiscos was released.
Februar 2008 the Paracaidas-Remix was re-edited released on "Top Ten 3/3 EP" on Level.

2007 Daniel Fritschi was founding member and resident DJ of the "ParticleRiot" collective. For 2 1/2 years the collective presented numerous Level Record release party's at the Kuenstlerverein Malkasten until the split in mid of 2009.

In april/ mai 2010 Daniel Fritschi organized the "c|o level festival" at the "Botschaft", an amazing old abandoned theatre in the center of Duesseldorf. The festival went on for 4 weeks with seven events in total. please look at www.co-level.de for details.

Five months after c/o Level Festival Daniel Fritschi concentrated all his efforts and developed the festival-location further and as logical progression he opened the "Foyer"-Club from on Oktober 2010 on a weekly basis. www.foyer-duesseldorf.de The Foyer-Club sports art exhibitions in combination with the monthly Level Records label nights. Dino Koratis visual installations/ projections and a custom-build PA together with the exceptional bookings are cornerstones which set the Foyer apart from other Clubs. Other than that Foyer works together with several artists and promoters so Foyer established itself as an important location for Duesseldorfs nightlife and music scene also beyond the electronic music. Currently the Foyer has a summerbreak until it will reopen in Oktober 2011.
