I would like to apologize for the rather poor sound quality which is due to the improvised audio engineering and recording equipment and the bad acoustics I have to cope with in my living-room...
Some words about myself: I am a British-German singer-songwriter, grew up in Frankfurt/Main suburbia and have been living in Berlin since 2000.
Musical Bio:
* Started hitting the pans and dishes in my mother's kitchen before I could even walk
* Went to music school at age 5 where I tried to make a glockenspiel sound like an instrument
* Sang in a choir during elementary school and was really scared of solo performances
* Started learning the guitar at age 11 but quit when I was 12 (there must have been other things on my mind at the time...)
* Picked up the guitar at 18 and never put it down again
* Formed a band (Lady Laramie) in the "beautiful" town of Langen where we played our hearts out for 5 years. We played a mixture of metal, grunge, electro, reggae, punk, funk and hardcore which is also known under the genre called 'Dorf-Rock' (we called it 'Progressive Schweinerock'...)
*While being the vocalist of the band I studied classical singing for a year
* Moved to the big city and therefore had to quit the band (which was quite hard 'cause we were doing really fine, even had gigs abroad...)
* Started writing songs on my own and became part of a 2-men-band with my pal CK who can rock like no other guy in this town. My part was playing the drums which led to a lot of broken drum sets... (there we have the link to point number one, by the way)
*Now I'm busy recording my songs to get them out to you via MySpace and looking for a chance to play live somewhere, someday...
Hi Daniel. Thanks for the request. Did we meet in Berlin in the weekend? I'm not good with names, and your face is a little hard to reconize, do to the picture...Cool picture though! All The Best / Sidsel
Alles Liebe
