Bio
I am partial to writing the occasional tune, but mostly these days you'll find me chisel/gouge in hand carving out a new instrument. My passion for instrument making started at The Totnes School of Guitar Making where I studied under Phil Messer. Wanting to learn more about early instruments I enrolled at West Dean College where I specialised in the Viola Da Gamba under tuition from Roger Rose and Shem Mackey. I now make Viols and Guitars from my workshop here in North Yorkshire. -
