The Recovery, formerly known as Baxter, have been out on the Salt Lake music scene for over two years now. But only until recently, have they been complete. Composed of founding member, Kris Averett on guitar and vocals, Matty Perea on drums, Alex Lyman on guitar, Brian Sherwood with the main vocals, and newcomer Matt Wilcox rocking the bass. Having shared the stage with national touring bands; Bleed The Dream, The Junior Varsity, The Confession, Stutterfly, Self Against City, and The Heavenly States. The Recovery has gained a lot of crucial experience that is helping them fine tune their music, and add excitement to their live performances. With an emotionally charged punk-rock sound, The Recovery is hard at work writing, practicing, and playing shows with a live performance that is talked about all over the Salt Lake Valley. The Recovery is creating their own distinctive sound to separate themselves from other bands in the same genres. With the artful guitar styles and searing lyrics laid over an almost post-hardcore backdrop, theyre not so much finding a niche in the genre, as they are creating their own.
Yeah I totally copied that.. haha, i was too lazy to explain. Anyway, the band has been together for a bit.. but its pretty much an all new band. We have been playing together since I believe November of 07. So About 7 months with all the new guys!
well danielle you have a great voice and great guitar playing. The one sugestion is to play with a metronome or a click track. alot of that comes with time but it will help a ton! besides that you are great! Well you should come to the show on the 6th pick up a cd. we recorded it with trevor price he is a really great tech.

i'm on a not so great computer with not so great speakers but once i get on my laptop i'll listen with some headphones and tell you what i think in terms of piano and whatnot. fo sho! :D
Hey! I'm impressed by your songs. Really, you've done a great job with them. They're a really good length too ...it shows you have experience as a songwriter.
When I first started writing songs, it was pretty much just me spouting nonsense for over 7 minutes...they were awful songs that never ended :P
Danielle, darn you! You blow me away!!! Your voice has matured so much, and you've become such an amazing vocalist, and the guitar is beautiful, ugh! I just can't say enough good things about it!!!!
I love you so much, and I'm so excited to have embarrassing pictures of you to sell to the paparazzi when you're unbelievably famous!!!
Dang! I would TOTALLY buy this girl's album! I don't know what her music sounds like, but the sheer sexiness of her ocean wind-swept hair deserves the $10 - $15 that a CD costs! Maybe I'll buy 1000 of them and wallpaper my room with her face!
