Originally hailing from Devon, it is Danielle’s star quality, as well as her catchy melodies, introspective lyrics, and great vocals that have made her a sought after feature by the likes of major dance label All Around The World Records (N-Dubz, Ultrabeat etc) for the latest bassline smash ‘Take It To The Dancefloor’. Other features in the UK include Baby J (Amy Winehouse, Dead Prez) and Shystie of the popular tv show Dubplate Drama.
Since featuring on the smash club anthem ‘Take It To The Dancefloor’, which she penned, (Reaching no. 3 in the MTV Dancefloor Charts and no. 4 in the Music Week Commercial/Club Charts), Danielle has signed a publishing deal with Notting Hill Music. She has been busy writing with multi-platinum selling producer Mike City (Usher, Brandy) in the US, and Grammy award winner Bruce Elliot-Smith and Will Simms in the UK amongst others. Danielle's latest collaborations include the chart topping dance outfit Freestylers and Stargate's latest signing 'Labrinth'...watch this space.
Danielle’s rise to the commercial platform followed the release of her self-managed EP project ‘One Day’, on which she wrote, conceptualised, and collaborated with the UK's premier soul/dance producers. These include Colin ‘C-Swing’ Emmanuel (Jamelia, Beta Band), and Don E (Sugababe, Grace Jones).
Independently released by Danielle it made waves with the underground smash ‘Next To You’ Remix, *Recommended tune of the month - I-DJ Magazine*. As part of this campaign Danielle featured in The News of The World, The Independent, Touch, Blues & Soul, and various online publications, as well as being Popworld’s ‘Spotlight Artist of the Week’.
While Danielle Loves song-writing and working in the studio, she has a passion for performing live and has supported Musiq Soulchild (Hammersmith Apollo), Kim Mazelle (Café de Paris - West End), opened for Joe Budden (Manchester Academy), performed at WOMAD (Reading) and various outdoor festivals, and has just completed a club promo tour for ‘Take It To The Dancefloor’.
Danielle now feels the time is right to focus on her own album project. With her musical heroes including a mixture of expert vocalists and song-writers (Cathy Dennis, Burt Bacharach, Norman Whitfield, Minnie Riperton, Sting, Annie Lenox, Blondie), expect to hear something retro yet forward thinking…
Beauty Call…………………… I nicknamed her my beauty call cause she'd do it all from the rolling of my els to the midnight calls with all my issues I be her tissue when she chooses to rain down on me calmly I warm the sheets And how we talk things into existence the family that prays together wishes themselves out of conditions that's felt ever so vicious while some fantasize, I realize the beauty I have e'rytime I try to disguise she reflects why all my doings are few and ever so chosen frozen is ruined when you think of the night capped movements do I ring her? or simply bring her my words of wisdom processed and extended by a hug and some friendship my beauty call truly y'all could never understand the transitioning of what it is to grow into a man flow and not expand and for sure I do my damn thing can we all get along to our own beauty calls....
