“An exceptionally creative artist” who “expands horizons” with her “balance of class and polished violin.” Danielle Turano has performed in diverse venues throughout the world. She has appeared as a an electric violinist at Radio City Music Hall in New York for the hit dance tour "Jump", part of a duo at the New York International Fringe Festival as part of "A Mikvah", as well as a classical soloist with The World Scholar-Athlete Games Orchestra at The University of Rhode Island, and as a section leader with The New Britain, Waterbury, and West Hartford Symphonies as well as The Hartford Festival Orchestra. Her chamber music groups include the Da Capo Strings, the Arioso Ensemble, and the Melalegno Quartet. She has participated in various festivals including the Kulturfestival in Switzerland, the Sessione Senese per la Musica Festival, in Italy, the Arcady International Music Festival in Maine, and the Hope Out Loud Music & Peace Festival in Hartford, Connecticut. She has taken part in master classes at The Juilliard School of Music and at New York University with world-renowned classical violinists that include Itzak Pearlman, Marco Zurlo, Almita and Roland Vamos, and Brian Lewis. She has also studied Jazz and Improvisation at the Berklee School of Music in Boston , Mass with such distiguished players as Matt Glaser, Christian Howes, Eugiene Freimen, John Blake, and Rob Thomas. Danielle has studied violin with premier artists such as Anton Miller, Brunalinda Myftari, and Anthea Kreston at The Hartt School of Music where she recieved her Bachelors of Music degree, cum laude in May 2007.
Danielle has been influenced by various other styles that include Arabic, Metal, Urban Folk, Flamenco, Blues and Jazz . She is a founding member of the hot new world fusion band Loukoum, that includes Kate Dunphy on Accordion, and Kryssi B on Jazz Guitar. She is also a new member of the metal band, Geomancer, out of Rohode Island. She was a co-founding member of the Flamenco/World/Latin fusion group Fuego Del Corazon. Danielle has recorded with Manhattan based singer/songwriter Abby Ahmad whose music can be heard in the motion picture "The Guardian". This has led her to become a member of The Abby Ahmad Band, performing in regularly in venues such as The Knitting Factory, Cafe Vivaldi, and Rockwood Music Hall in New York City and selling out the 400-seat "The Little Theater" in Wilkes-Barre, Pennsylvania. Her interest in these various styles has given way to freelance oportunities as a studio musician, having played on numerous albums with a combination of performers in the New York City and New England areas.
As well as teaching privately at Music and Arts Center in Faifield and Avon, Connecticut.

Lucky 13's had its usual positive turnout. The sets were awesome (and so was the food). We all had a blast before, during, and after the show. Next time you'd better partake in the festivities!
