About Daniel Martina

Daniel Martina began studying music theory and Argentinian folklore guitar with a local teacher when he was nine. Then he studies at the National University of Rosario and with Santiago G. Castelli, teacher of harmony and jazz improvisation. Later in Buenos Aires with the jazz guitarist and composer Armando Alonso (Dino Saluzzi guitarist). Furthermore, he self-taught himself with the Berklee College of Music method and hes followed several workshops held by the G.I.T. in L.A. Hes also took part in clinics held by: Pat Metheny, Chuck Wayne, George Benson, Scott Henderson, Jim Hall, Joe Diorio and Robben Ford. He joined at the music for the film "El cumple" by the argentinian director Gustavo Postiglione and some Networks collaborations like "Movimientos del Paraná" co-produced with Mathias Claus (Germany) and Peggy Morris(USA), OAN CD Compilation-Jazz Vol 1 and The jazz room CD Compilation - Jazz mix. His recordings "Propinas", "Tute" and "Pichincha Latin Jazz" are available at CDBaby.com. His new work "Luna rosarina", next to be released, joins great top musicians guest like Jeff Lorber, Jota Morelli (Al Jarreau drummer) and Lewis Pragasam (Bob James Asian band drummer)
