Singer songwriter Daniel Persson, who rose to prominence with a blend of raspy vocals and homespun raw-edge Indie folk, recorded his first EP "Beautiful mess" 2004 and quickly made a name for himself on the Los Angeles underground scene. In 2006 Daniel got together with local musicians Thomas Frogatt (She wants revenge) and Tia Sprockett (Ministry/Luscious Jackson)and recorded his first full length DIY "Broken bones" wich was released the same year, followed by radio promo/tour. In 2009 Daniel moved back to Malmö/Sweden where he got together with his new backing band "the Weaklings" to record the highly acclaimed DIY"Bedlam days" Wich was released 2011. "while Broken bones was more of a one man drunken sailor lost at sea kind of deal,Bedlam days finds me in some great company,pounding them down ,belting out some good ol'pirate blues" 2012 will find Daniel Playing Local gigs and working on his next album. "Poison in the well" from Daniel's debut "Broken bones" will be featured in Academy award nominee's Mark Kitchell's new documentary "A fierce green fire" narrated by Robert Redford & Meryl Streep. Bloodspill from his second relese "Bedlam days" will be closing Indie/Grindhouse filmmaker Patricio Valladares new movie "Hidden in the woods……..stay tuned! -
