...MY STORY......
From a young age I was always fascinated with music. I was about 5 when I used to watch my grandad play the organ. I remember I used to bug him to lift the lid and let me have a go, and my love for playing has never left me since.
I got my first keyboard at about 7 years old and began to learn classical piano. However my heart never lied there. I was always trying to turn symphonies by Bach and Beetoven into the pop songs I was listening to at the time. There were too many rules for me and I felt I belonged somewere else.
That some where else was songwriting. No rules, I could make my own up. The biggest influence through my life has been Elton john. I used to listen to tracks like "your song", "Tiny Dancer" "sorry seems to be the hardest word" those are the kind of masterpieces that made me start writing and really opened my ears. Bernies words amazed me, his rhyme, Eltons voice, his playing and his melodies. I wanted to craft songs like them. For a nine or ten year old an impossible task but the drive was always there and is to this day.
