Daniel Weldon with occasional help from some very musically talented friends. And speaking of friends, these characters, Darrin and Janalee, are the two responsible for getting my National guitar back. Thanks a million guys!
Influences
I’ll let you decide, but at very least I’ll give credit to Chris Whitley for the stark beauty of Dirt Floor.

Whiskey and Cigarette Voice, Guitar Music From A Well Worn Heart.
I set up this site to share some of my songs with the rest of the world. It's kind of my payback for me waiting 44 years to release my first record. The music is my saviour, with equal parts God and the Devil as my muse, the soundtrack of the battle eternal. If you like what you hear post a comment! And check out both www.danweldon.com, and www.myspace.com/danielweldon for more info.
I'd really like to thank Parkwood Guitars (www.parkwoodguitars.com), Zu Cable (www.zucable.com), Dimarzio Pickups (www.dimarzio.com), and last, but definately not least, Bill and Nadine at enRoute music (www.porchboard.com) for the "Legendary" porchboard, thanks all for the continued support to my success and for helping me find "my" sound!
I love this guitar, thanks Parkwood!
And here they are, the infamous Korene Greenwood and BB Melanson, the worlds finest recording partners, who regularly contribute their time and musical talents to my songs (Korene sings and plays bass, and BB plays anything I'm too lazy to play, and usually better than I can). They are also known as two thirds of the world renowned "Bastard Red-Headed Stepchildren From Scotland". As the redheads, we run a blues jam at the Wine Cellar every other Sunday. These two look cute, but watch out, they will steal all your alcohol, and whatever else they get thier mitts on...
Not sure when I'll be down for a visit, hopefully soon. I'm pretty broke. miss my kiddo. You and Brad really have to come do some gigs up here. I'm fucking seroius man.
Haven't talked to you in a while, just wanted to say hi and drop by to check in and make sure you aren't doing anything Jesus would disapprove of. How's your tummy doing? Sincerely ~omelet toe Johnson
....FRIZZ RECORDS is proud to announce our first official LP release...
"It's Not The Wand, It's The Magic" is the debut release from AUGUST, the London based band centred around the songwriting partnership between vocalist VEDINA MOSE and multi-instrumentalist / producer RAPHAEL MANN (MR HUDSON / JOY JOSEPH / ART TERRY), with master drummer CLEAN CUT MARK and clarinetist / vocalist MAREE CHOIE completing the core line-up, and a supporting cast including ART TERRY (keyboards), SHOHEI KAWAMOTO (AKA Japanese producer Baraki, Bass clarinet, soprano sax and flute), and KAI HOFFMAN (French horn)
Always an act that juggled a diverse set of influences, the album has been compared to artists as diverse as KATE BUSH, PRINCE, DE LA SOUL, SLY STONE, MADLIB, SERGE GAINSBOURG and THE DELFONICS, for its concoction of wild experimentation and traditional song craft, organic production and futuristic electronic touches, funk bass & drums and jazz & orchestral references, infectious melodies and lyrical flights of fancy...with nods towards classic soul, JB funk, Studio One, 60s pop, psychedelia, left field hip hop, new wave, doo wop, tropicalia, high life, & avant garde jazz, without any song ever fitting squarely into any of those categories...new music, basically...and an instant classic!
"It's Not The Wand, It's The Magic" can be downloaded now from the iTunes Store
The album is also available on heavyweight vinyl LP in a sumptuous gatefold sleeve, or on Digipack CD from www.FrizzRecords.com & all good retailers
hey, I need a huge favor from you. I'm having my grand re-opening at the club this saturday and it would mean the world to me if you would be here. I've turned this club around from losing thousands to making thousands in the 7 months I've been here. this night is the pinnacle of all my hard work and I want all my friends to share in the celebration. please tell me you will be here :) I'm giving away thousands of dollars in prizes. I have an ad in city weekly and on u92 for it. it is guaranteed to be a night to remember. I will put you on the VIP list along with as many friends as you would like to bring. Can I count on you to be here?
Just dropped by to say hi. Wanted to know how New York was. Alaska was great. I didn't grow a beard the entire time, which was upsetting. I saw allot of prime grade A beards to make up for it though. Oh, and I thought I should tell you before you hear it from someone else that I accidently killed a big ant while trying to take a picture of it. It's not something I'm proud of, but it feels good to finally admit it. Now use your reverend powers and de-sin me...or what ever it is you holy bastards do.
