I’m feeling thankful today and also anxious. Anxious for the beginning of something new and exciting. Not quite knowing where my road will lead, but knowing there are many routes I’d be happy to run along. Thankful for the amazing team of people I have supporting me. My producer and engineer, Paul, as well as Drew (assistant engineer) worked up to the last minute perfecting the tracks on this album. My graphic designer, Timmy, spent hours creating artwork for the album that would capture who I am and the spirit of the music. Drew, Missy, Jeb, BethAnn, Barb, David, Dena, Mom…What a labor of love this album has been. I’m so grateful. I’m grateful for family who love and support me. I’m grateful to everyone who when I said “I’m writing and recording an album” showed support and didn’t think I’d gone crazy! Nearly ten months later, this project is coming to a close on a personal level but just beginning to open up to everyone else. Few people saw the inner workings of the recording process. I’m ready to share this with anyone who will lend an ear now. For now, I’ll take a deep breath, have a glass of wine and enjoy life.

Social Networking Mania
In the past few weeks, I've joined Facebook, Twitter, created a facebook page and finished my personal website and had it go live. I feel up to my shoulders in social networking. However, while at first I was completely reluctant to jump on the bandwagon with all these sites, I have to say that it's been pretty darn fun. The absolute best part has been re-connecting with friends that I had lost contact with through the years. So many of you have sent me the nicest little emails offering words of encouragement. Thank you so much for your support. I really do love hearing from you!

Mojo's Show
I had a show at Mojo's in Davenport last Thursday night. My friend Paige and I took turns playing for two hours. I was happy to see some friends faces in the audience...had a great time playing originals and my favorite covers... was happy for the opportunity to play. =) Nothing too profound or interesting to say today... my album titled "Second Chances" is getting mixed and mastered right now... still working on my personal website... waiting for spring and everything to unthaw! -
No one said it would be easy!
Current mood:
focusedYes, I'm still working on my album, and YES it's coming along great! Maybe someday soon I'll post a date it will be finished! We're adding backup vocals and lead guitar parts now... perfecting some drum tracks as well.
Meanwhile, I'm busy working on my personal website (I'll let you know when it's up), playing with my band, and choosing artwork for the cd. All fun... not easy... but fun!
So, where do you all buy music online? i-tunes, amazon, rhapsody? Have you ever tried cd baby? If you're into finding great independent music, I highly recommend you check it out. You will find some real jewels there!
