I`m not a Band starten zunehmend durch. Hinter dem alternativen Electro Pop- Duo steht der kreative Kopf Stephan J. und die wechselnden Sängerinnen Jana D und Marie T. Seit Anfang 2009 musizieren sie gemeinsam und haben schon über die Grenzen hinaus für beträchtliches Aufsehen gesorgt, wie eine kleine UK-Tour im Januar mit Auftritten in Birmingham, London und Manchester beweist. Auf diversen Musikblogs fielen Vergleiche mit Crystal Castles, Simian Mobile Disco und anderen Musikgrößen. Doch gerade das Brechen von Genrekonventionen durch Kombination von Electro, Gesang und Geige sorgt bei I'm not a Band für  einen sehr eigene Note. Dieser Mix aus elektronischen Beats, explosiven Klängen und klassischen Instrumenten, bringt einen eindrucksvollen und geschickten Musikstil herv
