Introducing "Denise Mabry" an innovative artist, born in Philadelphia. Denise began singing at the age of 7 and her unique voice, range and versatility enable her to perform Jazz, Blues, R&B, Pop, Dance, Rock and Gospel. Denise's professional musical journey began in 1988, when she signed her first recording contract with Spring Records and performed background vocals on the single "Baby Say Yes." In 1990, she co-wrote single "Can We Get Together" - AME Records. In 1993, Denise wrote and performed "Make It" - JPIL Music which topped the charts in Chicago at 3 and spread through the airwaves all over Europe. In 1995, Denise co-wrote and performed "Believe It" with Dennis Ferrer - Mic Mac Records released under the name "Hippie Culture", performed background vocals on Poppy Seed's "Blue Daze" Alternative Rock album - C&S Records; and performed background vocals on Guantanamera Dance Remix - PolyGram Records which topped the charts at 10 in Europe. In 1997, Denise co-wrote and produced "Don't Look Back" - Surreal Records which topped the Radio Dance chart at 2 in Connecticut, and charted at 18 on Premium Record Pool's Radio, R&B and Dance throughout Europe. In 1998, Denise co-wrote and performed "Pump this Party" - Chastity Records. Denise has performed House, R&B, and Straight ahead Jazz in various clubs in the NYC area, New Jersey, DC and Japan. In 2001 Denise was the lead vocalist of a nine piece Hip-Hop Acid Jazz Funk Band, "Funk Monk" and performed in the NYC area. In 2002-2003 she performed in Sapporo City, Japan as the lead vocalist of an R&B Trio. In 2005 Denise showcased her talents in the tri-state area performing with the Gospel Choir Illuminations Chorale. In 2006, performed background vocals on the "Born to Praise" album with J.C. Thompson and Beyond Blessed; 2 songs from the album featured on 98.7 Kiss FM Celebrating 25 Years Night of Healing CD. Beyond Blessed performed in concert on November 10, 2006 on Broadway at Symphony Space in NYC. Denise recently recorded the "Surrender" album with Carlos Ramos, Chad D. Moyer and Fred Jorio. Purple Edge Records released "Deep In My Soul" - Aslam Feat. Denise Mabry in March 2009, Remix by Gene Pole. Also on Purple Edge Records "Floating Away", Remix by Gene Pole. "I Wanna", "Calling out 4 U" & "Get on Down" recorded with John Runefelt a/k/a 35bag in Stockholm. New release on Muzik for Life Records "Summertime" - UnionSteve Feat.
