Dan Manjovi - Singer/Songwriter/Musician/Actor
Dan Manjovi is a New York City favorite, continually expanding his growing fan base in New York and beyond. With the 2008 release of Manjovi's second CD, Woke Up This Morning, more and more fans are tuning in to Manjovi's trademark sound: Tasty, sophisticated pop/rock hooks, blues and jazz piano-based arrangements, and powerfully flexible vocals. His sound has been described as a mix of Elton John, John Mayer, and The Beatles.
Dan and his band regularly appear to packed houses at New York's major music rooms including Canal Room, The Cutting Room and The Bitter End among others. Manjovi also regularly performs intimate solo shows at the Lower East Side's famed Sidewalk Café. Dan was a featured artist at the 2006 Tribeca Film Festival/ASCAP Music Lounge, where he and his band appeared with John Mayer, Nellie McKay, Elvis Costello among others. He has also backed singers Donna Summer and Grace Hightower DeNiro in memorable shows at The Beacon Theater and Cafe Carlyle.
In 2007, Dan and his band played sold-out shows at the famed Bitter End, Arlene's Grocery and Rockwood Music Hall. In the summer of 2007 Manjovi played a host of outdoor festival, including Make Music New York, and an unprecedented return two-week engagement by popular demand at Bryant Park's Piano In The Park Concert Series.
Manjovi also has numerous acting credits, and recently appeared in the New York premier of The End, a new musical by George Furth (Company, Merrily We Roll Along) and Doug Katsaros (Alter Boyz).
