Dan McVeigh’s career has taken him from one part of Canada to the other. He has performed from Alberta to Newfoundland and everywhere in between to enthusiastic audiences. He started out as a keyboard player/lead vocalist in a number of Top 40/Country music groups before working on his career as a solo artist. McVeigh released his first CD (Love & Bridges) in 2001 after numerous requests from people who wanted to buy a CD after seeing him perform his live show.
Dan grew up in Renfrew, Ontario and played in local bands where he started writing songs at age 17 and has 5 Billboard songwriting awards to his credit as well as finishing 4th in the Canadian Country Music Hall Of Fame Songwriting Competition. He has also won 3 honorable mentions in the NSAI/CMT Song contest. Dan was recognized for his work in the arts community from the City of Brampton with a 2001 Arts Acclaim Award.
McVeigh has released a new CD called “Drove” which has already garnered great reviews from Country Music News, which said “He certainly does impress with his songwriting, and his vocal work here is also a step up”. Country Jukebox from Germany says “An album like “Drove” couldn’t be better. He leaves a good feeling for friends of Canadian country music with his Nashville sounding album”. McVeigh achieved national radio airplay with his first single “You Are All I Dream Of”. The song went to 1 on Canada’s leading country music internet station, “The Country Edge”. Since releasing the CD, McVeigh is getting airplay across Europe in Germany, France, The Netherlands and Romania. Dan’s songs have been recorded by a number of Canadian artists such as Debbie Nelson & Miranda Jackson on Royalty Records and recently by Myra Leblanc and Lana Gaile. Dan performs at writer’s nights throughout Ontario and in Nashville, Tennessee by himself or with his band “North of 49”. Dan has had the pleasure of performing on stage with artists like Diane Chase, Gil Grand, Colin Amey, Jason Barry, Barry Brown, and Wendell Ferguson.

He runs the Toronto NSAI workshop along with Laura Ranieri. He has coordinated NSAI’s Tin Pan North Songwriters Festival (in Toronto), which is now in its 8th year. Dan owns and operates Play It Again Dan Music, a digital recording studio and music publishing company. Dan’s studio produces songwriter demos and CD’s for both himself and other songwriter/artists. He also produces music for Film/Television and also video productions.

Please submit your artist news and events to CountryHome Forum to help your artists to get well known better in Europe. I know that many artists from North America don't have their music videos uploaded to German video websites. The most popular websites are MyVideo.de and ClipFish.de. That means your European audience does not have the chance to find them.
I understand that most of you don't speak German and are not able to upload videos because of the language barrier. If you would like me to upload your videos to the German video websites, please let me know.
Thanks

I hope your Christmas was filled with lots of love and laughter, peace and joy. I wish you and your family a wonderful holiday and all the great success in this Happy New Year!
Things are going well here thanks. Yup I've been doing a bunch of co-writing the last little while. Let me know if you'd like to for your next project. If I can think of some places you could play I'll let you know. Looking forward to catching you live. Sounds great about the new system, must make a big difference in the recordings.
Hey Dan! It was really great to see you in Toronto last Saturday night at the OCMA Showcase. I had so much fun! Thanks for adding me as a friend. Luv, Kristen :)
Hey Dan hope all is great with you and your music. I've been writing, demo-ing and pitching a few new things. Had planned to see that show of yours in Barrie that got double-booked a while back - hope to get out and see your show sometime soon.
What's Goin' On? I hope you're well. I've got a new song up, "Honky-Tonk Honeymoon." If you'll comment on it I'll enter you into a drawing for free hat #2. first one went to nancy of TN. The hat is in my pics. Thanks, KC
How you doing? Did I already ask you to listen to the drums on the song, "She's MIne" Everyone who enters a comment on that song before the end of the month will be in a drawing for a KC Roberts Hat, The Hat is Awesome, it's very thick, black with custom embroidery with my logo that's on my site on the front and it's trimmed out in this fine barbed wire looking embroidery. I've posted a picture of it in my pictures. If you've already commented, then good luck, but if you haven't then let me know what you think about the drums and the song. Thanks, KC
