With a lifelong passion for the dance floor and the accompanying electronic music, Danni B has risen to become one of Melbourne’s fast-rising female DJs.
As a hobbyist spinning tunes in the bedroom from 2003, she first made the transition from the floor to the club decks in 2005 and, after realising that the best way to get a regular gig was to host a night, Danni envisioned ‘Tickled Pink’ - conceived from the fact there was space in the scene for a female DJ night - now one of Melbourne’s highly successful monthly events. Tickled Pink Site
While the night is populated by the femme equation, Danni also realised there was space to incorporate a male edge to the evening, with some of the country’s most renowned and revered producers sharing their tunes with the punters. As the night reaches its fourth year, it has become an institution for people looking for an unpretentious night out.
With influences ranging from electro-fuelled textures of Tiefschwarz, to the Techno minded Vitalic, Stephan Bodzin and Thomas Schumacher and pocketed inspiration from the likes of Sasha, Digweed, The Chemical Brothers and James Holden, Danni’s sets are never put down to one sound. There’s always room for a mixture of records, which has helped secure residencies and rotations across Victoria, including Pretty Simple @ Ffour, Spunk, Lounge, Sunny, Darkbeat, Push, Mish Mash, Room680 and onesixone. Danni has also been fortunate enough to play alongside some of her heroes in Christian Smith, Jona, Tiefschwarz, Steve Porter, Yuksek, Paolo Mojo, Hernan Cattaneo and more.
Danni also collaborates with other major promoters, helping her successfully promote not only her institution, but those of others as well, culminating with a cross-promotion for the ‘Roomember’ reunion & Darkbeat parties.
With enthusiasm, a musical breadth close to complete and a presence behind the decks many aspire to, Danni B is one to watch over the many years to come.
After the good start of Melt (a.k.a Tony Thomas) with Quantum Process EP issued for PERCENT REC it's now time for the second release.
Our label offers rather different and more eccentric sound this time!
The much talked about japanese producer Shin Matsura is already a part of PERCENT REC's team.
Shin has accentuated mostly the experimental sound!
The most emphasized-on moments that have been chosen by the producer are a kind of somehow very dark, minimal and deep tech taken as a whole.
Shin Matsura who is avant-garde and quite harsh sometimes will introduce you in a deep and obscure atmosphere where you will be able to transfer your consciousness to.
You have the opportunity to buy this EP from Beatport, Juno, DJShop and other online stores beginning from 30 October 2009.
After very long and exhausting negotiations that we've conducted with the distributors we are now happy to announce that Beatport have finally approved our diffusion application and our first PERCENT REC release is already out!
PERCENT REC 01 was released only after we've organized a Remix Contest and we've chosen from the remixes very carefully.
The Techno, Minimal Tech, Electronica and Experimental sounding of this release will really make you danc? after you've started listening to it. :)
Typical but elegant sound by Alan Barratt, minimal hypnotic elements by Doctor Trash, minimal tech-house full of energy by Hertzman, deep minimal-tech by Alex Aqlieri, stylish Ukrainian techno by Yuri Alexeev and experimental tech by See Why at the end will make your senses feel far more than you need so that you assimilate the music well enough.
You can buy this EP from Beatport, Juno, DJShop and other online stores.
I hope september is giving you all the good vibes to start new projects. I would like to present you my last project called "Antipodes" (5 new tunes on the player). I rely on you to give me your opinion because I need it !

Sounds good. I know I start training for my teaching position on the 6th and it will be ongoing for a few more months but hopefully we can work something out. the extra coin i make from taking those paid surveys online helps out alot tho; you should really do them too; i mean, hey, the extra money comes in handy, right? i guess you'll have to type the link into internet explorer or whatever, but here it is:

I prolly won't have anything going on that weekend so if nothing else, maybe I can get back to town for a few days then. If I can work it out, you'll have to meet 'em too. Talk to ya later buddy. Keep me updated!
YES! I do too, but I can't breathe, I can't sleep and my head is throbbing....I went to the Pharmacy last night and she hooked me up, so I hope with these meds I can get to feeling better. I am not coming in this afternoon to work. We might actually do that. Send a text my way and remind me, if you don't mind. I'd love to do that! We are SOOO loving our vacation time and love being around people too. the extra money we made from taking those paid surveys online helped out so much!! you should really do them too; i mean, hey, the extra money comes in handy, right? i guess you'll have to type the link into internet explorer or whatever, but here it is:
