Hi guys , I'm Dannie, a native Italian gypsy, and I'm here to power my first cd named "Have a good time", an album full of melodic catchy songs that will reminds you at some years ago. Inside you'll find catchy refrains, melodic guitar solos, rock songs, suffered ballads, you know... it's rock 'n' roll !! Well, I've played in various bands with different styles since I've started to play guitar... now at 23 years old I'm tired to try to find everytime, people like me, with the same way of mine to think, to play, to wear and livin' music, so, I've started to write my own songs just to find a way to vent out from the closing that I've found in the bands where in the meanwhile I used to play. Song after song I found myself with a lot of ideas, maybe 20 songs or more, then I've decided to work seriously at this project and I've made it ! But, the engagements of life and work, the long time I've been out of my land, across the switzerland, holland, germany and every hole of the Italy, the troubles along the way, some stupid mess that I've do, and some other project with some other band, have made to slip so many times the work progress, but I guess the principal reason was the search of the voice.. a singer that I was'nt able to find, from the 2005 that I've started to work on this cd, only now in the 2007 finally I success to finish everything, well, the times grew tall also because I've thought about everything, from the concept at the practice, this can be an advantage or not.. it depends on the many points of view. By the way, in two tracks you can find the voice of two guests at the vocals, in the track n.6 Rachel O'neill (http://www.myspace.com/n2lspace ) and in the track n.11 Ciccio Ronchi (http://www.myspace.com/thesouthernkross).
Now in 2009 there's my come back with the second cd : A COWBOY NO ONE GETS. well first of all I can say the production is better than the first album where the entire work was penalized by a "hollow" sound.
A COWBOY NO ONE GETS is "a step ahead" in many points of view, altough the style remains the same I guess the songwriting is becomed mature altough I choose again to write my songs simply and "straight to the point".
Some words about the guests (you can find them in my top friends).
in this cd I'm very glad and proud to have Mr. Mauro Simone singing on two songs, he's a very versatile artist, he's into musicals most of the time, but he's a singer too, an actor, a direcotor, with few words... he's a well rounded artist and I only can ask him to be availabe for my next work.
Another guest is an old acquaintance named Ciccio Ronchi who has sung a song in duet with me in "HAVE A GOOD TIME" , this time he's in duet again, and the duet is supplied by a girl: Lady Rhuna, they rocks in their song, owners of powerful and singular voices.
And last but not least the new entry from Genova: Matteo Giraldi, Matteo has lent me his voice for two songs where the score touched infamous notes sometime, and I thanx him for the way and the determination he gave in what he done, expecially 'cos he comes from a different kind of music.
"A COWBOY NO ONE GETS" is a piace of work carried out with my full satisfaction, and now... let the music do the talking, Enjoy it !!!
some words about the debut cd "have a good time" from webzines and fanzines
METAL TEMPLE (greece):
"This is a sweet work. This is an honest work. This is a full-heart work
Dannie is capable enough in finding his way in the (generally speaking)melodic Rock fielD
assuming he'll score a record deal at some time"
TEMPI DURI:
TRUE METAL:
"Have A Good Time' ha il potere di introdurre immediatamente l'ascoltatore nel mood che pervade per intero il platter:
HARD LINE MAGAZINE (germany):
"This is anyway a self produced album in which we can perceive a work of " heart and blood ",
a passionate purpose by the artist, so at this point I'd like to let the music speak by itself"
HARD N' HEAVY WEBZINE:
KOMODO ROCK (UK):
"Musically it's great, production is a bit iffy at times, and as mentioned a new vocalist is needed
but you can't deny the heart, the desire, and the dedication that has brought this album about.
Damien is serious, and if he can find a band that will work with him, he might well be a name to watch in the years to come"
EUTK:
