Danny Darko is one of the monikers of the 1979 born producer Danny Cannizzaro. I've been working in the pro music business since 1998. I was producer of a few dance hits of the 2000s, including Starchaser " love will set you free/jambe myth " (one of the summer 2002 dance anthems, reached n.24 in the UK POP Singles Chart). I'm an ecleptical producer, my productions goes from house to commercial, progressive and electro. My songs has been supported during these years by top djs like Pete Tong, DjTiesto, Paul Van Dyk, Judge Jules, Armin Van Buuren, just to name a few. Everything you listen of Starchaser (the official), Danny Darko and Danny Cannizzaro is always me.

I think an artist has the opportunity to speak out to people, because Music is first of all a form of communication. Dance music producers have the great opportunity to speak to the young generations, so I sometimes use music to launch messages to try to increase people awareness on certain environmental themes. To name a few such initiatives, in 2007 through a green initiative connected to the single "We need to wake up!" we planted a thousand trees in the wasted lands of Haiti. In 2008, the anthem "Save The Whales" - supported by top djs alike Dj Tiesto and Armin Van Buuren - was a message against industrial mass whaling which is putting whales on the verge of extinction. I usually link my green projects to Greenpeace campaigns, i'm actually an online "activist" of Greepeace. Well, this is the way I like to work!
