Background:
Daniel Robert Elfman Born May 29, 1953 in Los Angeles, California His parents were named Milton and Blossom. His older brother, Richard Elfman, is a Movie Director Danny spent a lot of his time in cinemas when he was younger, this is believed to be where his love of film music began. In spite of a career that started with the rock band, Oingo Boingo, he moved into scoring films, where he would pay homage to his musical idols:- •Film Composers- Bernard Herrmann; Franz Waxman; Dimitri Tiomkin; Max Steiner. •Jazz sounds of artists like Cab Calloway •And Classical Composers like Prokofiev and Stravinsky.
