Hi. Thanks for coming to this page. My name is Danny Marks. I have spent the last several years of my life writing, performing, and recording music around the country. I have lived most of that time in New Orleans and Chicago, but have traveled a good bit. To date I have been in almost every state and several other countries as well. I have also tried very hard to meet many different kinds of people, experince different lifestyles, acquire new skills, and read a lot. Hopefully all this has made me a well-rounded person or something like that. I like to think so. I recently moved to New York. I live in Ft. Greene, Brooklyn. I used to have a band called Saaraba. Saaraba was a great New Orleans band that won awards, toured all over the country in more than 60 cities, put out two albums, got great reviews and radio airplay, played at the New Orleans Jazzfest... Forces of nature intervened (babies, hurricanes, snowy mountain roads, shifting brain chemicals, etc.) So here I am, moving forward. I recently completed a new album called "Introducing The Solars". Many of those songs can be heard here or at thesolars.com. The Solars is sort of a real band. We have played to very small audiences in about fifteen different cities across the Midwest and South in March of this year. I guess that's about it for now. Bye.
P.S. The Solars and Saaraba pages below have more songs!!!!!!
