Well, hey there! Thanks for checking out my MySpace!
So about Dan Octavia eh?... well...
Dan Octavia was born in August 2006 in the virtual world of Second Life. I found it an extremely exciting way of getting up and getting heard, though I really just play for fun I do appreciate playing for other people. It's got to be one of the best things in the world to get up on a stage and play your songs. It's such a buzz.
And Second Life made it really easy to just go and do it from the comfort of my own lair. No more lugging gear around grotty back street pubs in the middle of some dirty old town, just to please a bunch of old gammers sipping whiskey!
You all know what I mean right? lol
As a musician, I've been playing for about 14 years now.. featuring in several bands throughout the ages. But I've never been as content with my music as I am right now. Things are always so much simpler when you do them on your own!
Anyways.. enough about me.. how about you? How's your day been?
Wow! Can’t believe it has been so long. I have been very busy with my “day” job in the Navy. We recently completed a tour of Australia (yeah I know .. The tough life). Now I am back and sure would love to hear from you again. Hope to play in SL again soon.
Best wishes, James Holland aka Singincountry Commander www.cdbaby.com/jamesholland Or download my tunes from iTunes or even from my myspace!
Seems are calendars are slightly out of sync. Well basically, I get on about an hour late. Heard about the guitar string :-/ Ah well. Happy Hippy Day! Now it's all downhill to Christmas!!! Wooo!
Being a saddoe I listen to Radio 2 during the day to pass the tedium at work.....(I know, tragic isn't it?)
Anyway, there was a guy on this morning whose profession was a Traditional Pasty Maker! Naturally I thought of you..... he was slightly odd tho and seemed to love his job a little too much ;P
Hi Dan. Thanks for adding me. I'm chuffed to bring your friends list to the significant (for H2G2/Douglas Adams fans) number of 42, while at the same time taking mine to the dizzy heights of... er... 2 (including Tom). Haha. See you later!
Hey Dan!! Am Happy To Have Been Able to Listen to Meet You and Listen to You at the Crazy SHarks Beach.. Your really Great and Good Luck in everything..Keep Rockin *S*
Dan my friend, sorry it took so long to hit you up. Can't wait to play Crazy Sharks again!
I know I owe my success to all of the support I get from my friends here spreading the word.
I want to thank all of you who have supported me with letters, at shows, and by picking up my CD "Guitars, Good Friends, and a Fifth of Tequila".
If you have not picked one up....
Don't be the last one on your block to get one !!!
Thanks again to you all,
James Holland

Oh. Yes.. Turns out I hadn't been here yet. God Life is so horrid sometimes. Doesn't matter if you're born to play the king or pawn for the line is thinly drawn 'tween joy and sorrow
Hope the place is rocking. Will be back soon... I need another holiday.
