Born and raised in Orlando, Florida, Dan Palmere became fascinated by music and the arts at a young age. Growing up close to his grandparents exposed him to a wide range of music from their era. Music was always playing in their household, from Glenn Miller and Benny Goodman to Frank Sinatra and Tony Bennett. He recalls dancing to Sinatra’s “New York, New York”, with family and friends. These roots in jazz and other genres led him to study piano and vocal technique for several years. He was active in high school theater, performing in main stage musicals and Thespian regional competitions.
All this subsequently brought Dan to Berklee College of Music in Boston, MA, where he currently working towards his degree in Professional Music on scholarship. He performs regularly with his jazz quintet around Massachusetts and continually seeks opportunities to perform in Berklee related and Boston area concerts and projects.
