Coming from the UK, dance music has been a part of Dan's life for a long time. His first encounters with the then very-underground dance scene were at clubs like Subterrania, in London's West End, and at the countless illegal raves that took place up and down the country.
Soon however, he wanted to be more than just a face in the crowd. Inspired by the first wave of 'Superstar DJs' like Jeremy Healy, Allister Whitehead, Tony De Vit and Pete Tong, Dan bought a pair of cheap tables from a friend and began mixing. First, it was just a way to get all his favourite tunes on one tape, but then he turned his sights on the clubs he had for years frequented.
In 2000, he packed a box of records and took off for a summer to a place the locals call La Isla Blanco, or the White Isle - known to everyone else as Ibiza. A short while (and many demo's) later, he secured a residency at the Breeze bar in San Antonio bay. After that summer Dan came back to London and inspired by the season on the island he set about passing out demo's to every club he could think off and ended up landing a regular gig at one of London's longest-running underground house nights, Echo. Numerous guest spots around the capital followed for the next couple of years.
In 2002, Dan however decided it was time for bigger and better things and moved to the USA to work for the legendary House label Yoshitoshi, where he met his production partner, JheReal. The pair's mutual passion for music led to a studio collaboration which resulted in signings from powerhouse labels Release Records and Alternative Route Records with which he signed his massive ibiza terrace style anthem One More Dance that quickly went to No.1 on the Balance Promote chart in february 2005." Forthcoming singles from the duo are expected soon on Symphonic Recordings, and Segment Records under their alias, the Rang-A-Tangs.
Currently Dan holds down a high profile weekly residency at club Glow in Washington DC where he plays weekly alongside the world biggest DJs, such as Sasha, Armin Van Buuren, Erick Morillo, Tiesto, Deep Dish, Danny Howells and Pete Moutso.
