Across the board... I've always done a lot and kept busy: web design, graphic design, architecture, film, electronics and IT, technology in general, aviation, cinema of course, loud music!
I like everything from Rock to R&B to Hip-Hop to Reggae. I can't stand the majority of what makes up the Pop charts nowadays (or since the early 90's actually!). I don't really follow the general trends of what other people are into, but I know what I like. AFter all if we all liked the same stuff the world would be a very boring place.
Bands: Starsailor, Teenage Fanclub, Alter Bridge, Refused, Goo Goo Dolls, The Calling, Green Day, Evanescence, Seether, I Am Kloot, We Are Scientists, Hanson, The View, MGMT, Skunk Anansie (gone but not forgotten), Creed (ditto), En Vogue, Zero 1, Arctic Monkeys (and Last Shadow Puppets), Burnside Project, Massive Attack, Audiobullys, Catatonia, Lighthouse Family, Kaiser Chiefs, Raconteurs, All American Rejects, Babyshambles, Pearl Jam... [I keep adding to this as I always forget - theres many more not listed!]
Solos: Nate James, Heather Small, Jin, Damian Marley, Aaron Neville, Bo Bice, Bob Sinclar, Ben Kweller, Al Green, Foxy Brown, Aretha Franklin , Whitney Houston, Drake Bell, Chris Daughtry, Lauryn Hill, Scott Stapp, KT Tunstall, Chris Cornell, Fantasia, Jean Michel Jarre, Eagle Eye Cherry, David Gray, Josh Doyle, Tina Turner, Wyclef Jean, Janet Jackson. I honestly could go on forever here!
I mainly like indie and arthouse film... I love finding something a little out of the ordinary that people probably won't have heard of. I've seen far too many movies man... I have some faves: American History X, Road to Perdition, Donnie Darko, Undertow, Mysterious Skin, Thumbsucker, Night Watch & Day Watch, Imaginary Heroes, Mean Creek, The Chumscrubber, Deathwatch, Snow Cake, The Crow, Brick, Pollock, Alien, Aliens & Alien 3 (definately not 4 or AvP), T2, Almost Famous, Heartbreakers, The Ice Storm, Blade, Arthur et Les Minimoys!, Once Were Warriors, Hostage, Igby Goes Down, Lucky Number Slevin, The Illusionist, Infamous, all the Hannibal Lecter films... Children of Men, Y Tu Ma Tambien, V For Vendetta, Star Treks II, VIII and X, Night Listener, Wild Tigers I Have Known, Garden State, Spirited Away, Open Your Eyes, Tell No One, Jackie Brown.
Family Guy and Futurama. Quirky Brit comedy - Little Britain, Funland, The League of Gentlemen. A lot of US drama - Vanished, Threshold, 24, DS9, Queer as Folk US, Heroes, American Gothic, Eleventh Hour, CSI, House MD, Ab Fab, Red Dwarf, Doctor Who, Desparate Housewives, Skins, Neighbours (come on, everyone has to like at least one soap!), Scrubs, Oliver Beene, Everybody Hates Chris, Dragons Den, X Files, Air Crash Investigation, Jericho... anything on the SkyHD channels to get my moneys worth! My god, I watch too much TV! Robot Chicken rules. Dennis Potters Cold Lazarus, one of the most amazing stories ever committed to celluloid.
Admittedly I read less and less nowadays which is really, really bad. Just about to start Long Way Down. Just a Geek and Dancin' Barefoot by Wil Wheaton.
Kermit the Frog - no contest. Also: Russell T Davies, Will Self, Ron Cowen and Daniel Lipman.
About Me
Well after setting up Facebook before deciding for the third time that it's crap, I thought I'd re-jig this a bit and write something a little more profound than "Hi, I'm Dan".I'd Like to Meet
MySpace wise, anyone who isn't completely self absorbed, with at least a bit of personality. I don't want to know people who just want to up their 'Friends' tally and I don't want to know anyone who just talks about themselves the whole time, hehe.
If u rite like dis den ur not gna gt a response.
More seriously, I'd like to meet:
HR Giger, purely to tell him what a fucking genius he is, of course before getting him to paint me an original airbrushed masterpiece on my wall. Dan O Bannon, if you don't know who he is, don't worry, he wrote the screenplay for Alien, just the first one. Leonard Nimoy, so he can tell me whether he is Spock, or not. Tony Kaye, director of American History X - probably the most important film ever made. John Forte, if you read some of the stuff he writes, you'd know why. Hal Sparks, the guy is a frickin legend. Again, don't worry if you don't know!

I have to agree with you; the music comment; not much good pop music being created nowadays. Repetition + being over the top seems to be key to the current music industry.
Oh well at least there are some great bands out there who actually play instruments+compose their own songs.....saw the Priest Feast last night at Wembley Arena; awesome :)
Anyways I hope that all is well in your world....take care
