Lucky 7 perform unique arrangements of some well know but often obscure blues tunes, and live they put on a vibrant and energetic - foot stompin' show. They are just completing their first album which will be available very soon - watch this space! A three track EP is already available and you can listen to those tunes here on myspace.
Lucky 7 were formed by in the beginning of 2008 by guitarist and singer Dan Sowerby. With Jools Owen on drums, Lucky 7 performed simple, heartfelt and vibrant blues music. Then the only instruments used initially were acoustic Slide Guitar, Vocals and Drums....But more recently In September 2008 Lucky 7 welcomed aboard Paul Blake on acoustic Bass Guitar, adding a powerful bottom end to the lucky duo! You will be able to hear Paul's playing on some of the upcoming album and at most of our upcoming shows, come and have a listen...
In August 2008 Lucky 7 did a live radio session for Spire FM on the 'Live and Local' show with Dave Woolatt. Squeezing drums, amp and guitar into Spire FM's small studio was great fun and resulting recording was a great success - you can here those tunes here on myspace too. They're real close and intimate recordings...
Now ,with the success of the past gigs and recordings, Lucky 7 are working on an album of original tunes in keeping with their blues sound...soon to gigged!
