I love high adrenaline sports- I've been bungee jumping, skydiving, kiteboarding, and will be going hang-gliding in the Swiss Alps in March. I love urban exploring- checking out abandoned buildings and exploring dark crusty old asylums is my favorite for sure- I've probably been to about 13 of them down the East Coast. I like to bust out the ghost hunting equipment and get a little serious with the research sometimes. Caves...I love caves too. Underground caves, drainage systems, abandoned subway tunnels- I love it all. I guess that would make me a spelunker. When I'm not tied up to my climbing equipment to get deeper underground, I'm tied up to my climbing equipment to get as high as I can. I love rock climbing in North Carolina and along the old quarries in Duluth. Hmmm... what else can I tell you...? I love scuba diving, and just finished my rescue diver certification. Going down to explore the over 100 foot deep shipwrecks is my favorite! Other outdoor stuff I enjoy includes: kayaking, snowboarding, waterskiing, jetskiing, swimming, backpacking, and riding my motorcycle.
When I'm indoors, I love to dance. Breakdancing is my favorite style of dance and I love to b-girl it up on the floor! I'm pretty happy when I'm at the gym training for my next bodybuilding competition, lifting weights, doing crunches, running on the treadmill, and then throwing down a protein shake and cooling down in the sauda. I'm totally into fashion and piecing together the perfect elements of random to create the most perfect piece of clashwear. I love photography and cinematography. I love music and play the piano, drums, trumpet, and mixing vinyl. I love traveling and hope to travel around the world one day! And, I love tattoos and piercings. As a matter of fact, I've been doing professional piercings since 1998. I trained as an apprentice at a shop out East in the San Francisco Bay Area. I used to have a lot more piercings on my body, but have since evolved into enjoying other things hence I now have less.
I like mostly everything. However, as I type this I'm thinking of a whole bunch of songs that I don't like. Overall, I appreciate the music for what it is- music. However, for the sake of this little interview thing, I'd say my favorite type of music is hip-hop, folkrock, or vintage jazz. Here is a list of artists I love: Sublime, Tu-Pac, Dave Matthews, Jack Johnson, Garden State Soundtrack, The Shins, Jay-Z, Nelly, Eminem, Frank Sinatra, Jaime Foxx, Black Eye Peas, Johnny Cash, Fatboy Slim, Chemical Brothers, Prodigy, Portised, Madonna, Kanye West, Ying Yang Twins, Bone, OutKast, No Doubt, Gwen Stefani, Pink, Ani DiFranco, and more!

About me: How do you possibly sum yourself up in such a short little space? Well, some words I'd use to describe myself are high-spirited, genuine, adventurous, crazy, outgoing, romantic, athletic, exciting, passionate, determined, and happy to be alive. This life journey has been pretty action packed so far! I've graduated with 3 degrees, performed around the world as a drag king, authored and published a book, produced 4 documentaries, am a licensed Scuba Rescue Diver, a certified wildland firefighter, an NPC bodybuilder, a Certified Nursing Assistant, and now am working as the weekend anchor and weekday reporter for CBS and NBC up here in Minnesota. A motto of mine I stand by is to live big and always follow your dreams! I do suck the marrow out of life! 90% of the time I wake up and I'm excited to see what the day has in store. I treasure my friends and my family as I know I would be nearly nothing without them. What I hope for my life in the next 10 years is to crazy in-love, have children, travel around the entire world, help build a medical clinic south of the equator, and finish my training as a registered nurse... specializing in medical correspondence.

Who I'd like to meet: I'd like to meet a girl that's just as crazy as I am, yet when I look into her eyes, to know I've come back home. Wouldn't mind meeting Shane from the L-Word as well!!
