About me:
Dante's Inferno Comic Book Series is a story based on Dante Alighieri's masterpiece - The Divine Comedy, written in Italy 700 years ago.
A prototype of the first issue was recently introduced to major US magazine publishers at Comic Con 2007, in San Diego, CA, USA. Hopefully you'll see it on the stands before the end of this year.
We are proud to be working with a gifted illustrator capable to do the art from concept design to end product. In other words, an artist that can pencil, ink, and color. His name is Awik Balaian from Holland.
This magazine is not only historic but also unique. Dante's Inferno illustrations were done in its entirety only once, 150 years ago, in black and white, by the gifted French illustrator Gustave Dore. The magazine in itself was never attempted to put together before because of the complexity of the poem, in which is based on. We are the first ones in history to put together an original magazine of Dante’s Inferno! The magazine dialog, which has been adapted by screenwriter Dino Di Durante, is so simple that any kid can read it and understand it. This alone is remakable in itself.

La serie a fumetti “L'Inferno di Dante” (Dante’s Inferno Comic Book Series) è un racconto che si ispira al capolavoro di Dante Alighieri “La Divina Commedia”, scritto in Italia 700 anni fà.
Un prototipo del primo numero è stato recentemente presentato al maggior editore di riviste statunitense al Comic Con 2007, a San Diego, in California, e siamo fieri di lavorare con un illustratore di talento capace di trasformare l’arte del disegno di concetto in un valido prodotto finale. In altre parole, un artista che sappia cosa sia una matita, dell’inchiostro e del colore. Di origine olandese, il suo nome è Awik Balaian.
Questa pubblicazione non è soltanto storica, ma unica. L’illustrazione dell’ “Inferno” dantesco fu eseguita infatti soltanto una volta, 150 anni fa, in bianco e nero, dal famoso illustratore francese Gustave Doré, ma una vera pubblicazione non fu mai tentata prima, data la nota complessità del poema stesso.
Siamo dunque i primi a poter presentare una rivista originale dell’ “Inferno” di Dante.
I dialoghi, che sono stati adattati dallo sceneggiatore Dino Di Durante, sono così semplici, che ogni bambino puo’ leggerli e capirli, e già soltanto questa inedita possibilità per l’infanzia ci sembra una bella novità degna di nota,…non vi pare?
