Danú is a traditional Irish band that was founded in 1995 by Benny McCarthy, Donnnchadh Gough, Donal Clancy and Daire Bracken. Over the past decade Danú has had some changes in line-up to form todays current band. Now established as one of Irelands most important ensembles Danú have gathered many awards and critical acclaim. Danú members hail from counties Waterford, Dublin, Kerry and Donegal.
The group have a strong ethos of loyalty to the tradition from which their music comes and yet still bring a fresh, inspiring approach to their performances.
A wonderfully lively group on stage, a Danú concert is a unique experience, never to be forgotten.
