    My favorite book ever is IT by Stephen King...honest to god, I was 19 the last time I read it and it still gave me nightmares. Other than horror, I like romance novels (or as my brother calls it, soft-core porn lol), anything about ancient civilizations and mythology, and books on religion. I'm not particularly religious, but theology is one of my favorite discussions so I like to learn a little about all the different religions that are out there ;) ALSO...have recently become addicted to The Dark-Hunter series by Sherrilyn Kenyon. These books are honestly nothing like I've ever read before: paranormal and sensual to the extreme. I also just recently stumbled on to the Anita Blake series by Laurell K. Hamilton...more shapeshifters and vampires lol

  • Heroes

    I can't say that I have any specific modern day heroes, I mean I have complete and utter respect for our soldiers and firefighters and police officers and medical field, but some people that personally inspire me in my art and writing are Picasso, Degas, Van Gogh, Monet, Manet, Poe, Tolkien (little long winded, but he put together a good story), King, Shakespeare, and Nora Roberts, not to mention countless poets here and on authorsden.com (hugs to Gary, Jeff and Alexander :) ). I take that back about the modern day heroes thing; My baby brother is my hero. I know that sounds dorky but he's 26 and has his life so together that it makes me wonder if he's really human lol (plus he's an awesome musician and I can't play anything for crap :) Seen Tru is the band he's in )Photo Sharing and Video Hosting at Photobucket..

Let's see..me in a nutshell...I'm a cosmetology student at Aveda, mother of the three craziest girls ever born, and an artist and poet at heart :) I firmly believe that life is what you make of it, not what you are handed. You have the choice between being angry at bad circumstances or taking a deep breath and pushing through to the other side. And of course you have to hope that the other side is less crappy than the one you're running like hell from.I am also a woman of great passion (and NO, I don't mean the sexual kind). If you can't be passionate about every aspect of your life and take what can be gleaned from each and every moment, then you're not truly living at all.That being said, I'm usually up for about anything, be it a night in watching movies or cooking a dinner for friends (yes..I can cook..rare quality I'm finding out) or a night out at a bar or clubbing with my girls (or guys if I can drag them along lol). Music, art and writing are my three main passions outside of my family, which always comes first in my list of priorities :) . I've got a ton of poetry (some good, some horrible) and total random rants posted in my blogs, most of which are at least mildly amusing (so I'm told) * Not really sure what else to say here.
