Dan Welton was born in Switzerland in 1975. Growing up in an artist’s family, he was always involved with music and as a child he followed his dad for all his hippy gigs, TV shows and showcases. During his teenage years, Dan fell in love with electronic sounds, and covering the Acid house phenomenon and listening to acts like Prodigy, The Shamen and Depeche Mode.
The next step was then to buy his first set up and a whole bunch of tunes to start experimenting with the groove. The first style he embraced was something between progressive and psychedelic trance but then, he became totally addicted to all kind of house music with his first trip to Ibiza in 1999 and never went back.
After some years of spinning Records, Dan decided that it was the time for creating his own music. After hitting the scene with his tribal, drums driven progressive tunes, it wasn't long before his inspiration took a different direction and drive him into the world of filthy, jacking, chunky tech house rhythms and fat, dirty ass shaking basslines.
His productions, remixes and collaborations (with the other members of the International “Audioload” djs collective like David Sense & Rhythm Code) have already been championed by guys like Layo & Bushwaka, Laurent Garnier, Satoshi Tomiie, Rene Amesz, Noir, Granite & Phunk, Rhythm Code, Pete Gooding, Hernan Cattaneo, Nic Fanciulli, James Zabiela, Matthey Dekay, Murk, Tony Thomas, Inkfish, David Sense, Anthony Pappa, Wally Lopez, Deepgroove, Terry Francis or Chus & Ceballos, Demi, Ben Macklin, and Steve Lawler and got airplays on shows like Essential Selection, BBC Radio 1, Ministry of sound, Proton or Kiss FM.
Yet his talents do not end there. DJ bookings throughout Europe (UK, Ibiza, Croatia, Norway, Lithuania,…) have flooded in, thanks to his ability to inject his infectious twisted sounds on any club sound system he graces. In 2007, Dan won the “Clubbing Revelation DJ” award in his country. From there he started to produce his own weekly radio show called “Crunch” on ROUGE FM Radio that immediately became the reference for the freshest sound around.
Last but not least, he is also promoting his monthly “Shove Circus” club night (with international guests) that is simply one of the fastest rising brands and busiest party in the Swiss club scene. Busy working on some new killer tracks for Timbee or and remixes for Wasted to name but a few, developing the profile of his new digital label Shove music and with more sets to come in the UK, Lithuania, Scotland and many moreMr. Welton is definitely one to watch in the future…

Haha - jeg vil æde min gamle hat på at Dan og BP sidder med hver sit oversættelses software og prøver at forstå hvad vi har skrevet. Vidste du at Dan og Caroline har en stor forkærlighed for "The Cure" ?
