We'd like to openly thank everyone who may have voted to help put BEATLES FOR SALE as one of four finalists for the 2009 Worcester Music Awards in the Tribute Band category.
If you don't mind helping further - please go to this link and give us a vote in the next round.
BEATLES FOR SALE strives to do the best possible justice to the Beatles catalog and deliver a fun and entertaining show. We also support various charitable causes such as local Relay For Life events, The Brad Delp Foundation and regional high school music programs.
We're excited to be mentioned among some great local entertainment and appreciate people's support of local music.
Basically, all music. But prefers the old Beatles and post Beatle stuff. "Hard to improve on perfection... lol!"

CONGRATULATIONS to LISA MANNETTI for winning the Stoker Award for Best First Novel!!!!
The Gentling Box is the 2009 Bram Stoker Award winner for First Novel. WAY TO GO, LIS!!!!!!
Lisa Mannetti is an acclaimed writer and editor of dark fiction, hosts one of the coolest, darkest, most interactive websites on the Internet, and she has recently become an actress in a Hollywood film based on one of her own short stories! Her literary star has found an extreme upward trajectory, and I can think of no one more deserving than the delightful and talented:
Lisa Mannetti!
SHOULDA BEEN THERE by Jude Southerland Kessler. An 800 page epic novel on the life of John Winston Lennon from October 1940 to Dec 1961. Foreword by Bill Harry. Jude was a guest at the recent NY METRO FEST and will be joining them in Las Vegas. You can pick up a copy at WWW.ONTHEROCKBOOKS.COM
Heroes
"I have had many heroes in my life. Not all of them were famous people.
Let's start with my dad. He was a great man, hard working, a great mentor.
The great Chet Atkins says it best in this song:
There are many more who fall into this catagory. All my friends are heroes to me.
And let's not forget the greatest 'working class hero', John Lennon."
IN MEMORY:
"I am sad to say my brother, Jack, passed away New Year's Day, 2008. If you like, please visit his myspace site, give a listen to his music, and perhaps leave a message in his memory.
I will miss our talks, his advice, and his support...
Love you, my friend!

FOR IMMEDIATE RELEASE
I-BFD Selects BEATLES FOR SALE The Tribute as August Artist of the Month!
Downingtown, PA - August 1, 2008 - The International Beatles Freak Day team has selected New England-based tribute band Beatles For Sale to receive the honor of being named I-BFD Artist of the Month for August 2008! Beatles For Sale was formed by five musicians brought together by their love for the Beatles and the desire to keep their favorite music alive for fellow Beatles Freaks.
Upon hearing they had been chosen to be featured by I-BFD, the band replied, "Beatles For Sale is thrilled and very appreciative to be chosen as I-BFD Artist of the Month". Beatles Freaks will be thrilled and appreciative when they hear the amazing talent this band has recreating their favorite Beatles tunes, from the number one hits to some lesser known songs. That's because Beatles For Sale has developed an eye (or should we say ear?) for detail when it comes to reconstructing the Beatles' musical arrangements and harmonies.
The band - including Joe Budroe, Steve Caisse, Mike Christian, Dennis Cummins, and Dan Kirouac - is definitely worth checking out. For more information, a schedule of upcoming gigs, or to see some clips of the band's performances be sure to check out their website (best viewed in IE) www.beatlesforsale.net or visit www.I-BFD.com under "Artist of the Month".

IN MY LIFE - MENDON, MA 7/08
PRESS/REVIEWS
Last night (Saturday, 31st) I had the unique opportunity, along with some friends, to experience Beatles For Sale playing live at Williams Rest. and Tavern in Gardner, Ma. As a band they are tight as a drum with harmonies not heard since the 'Fab 4' invaded the U.S. so many decades ago. Complete with cheeky comments, appropriate Liverpool accents and amazing stage presence, they turned the Gardner tavern into the Liverpool Cavern for a few precious hours.
As individuals they are gentlemen, personable, warm and engaging. One of the ladies accompanying me last evening was having a birthday; the band dedicated 'Birthday' to her by name and she was delighted! I cannot think of a nicer evening in my recent past, between the fabulous food and service of The Williams Restaurant and the friendly, inviting atmosphere of the tavern, last night filled with the sounds of the original 'four lads from Liverpool'.
"If you, like myself, never got the chance to attend a live Beatle concert, now you can!! Keep on eye open for their next appearance...Beatles For Sale...you truly have to experience them to believe it!!!!"
-- SADIE
Yep, we were delighted by how well you guys sound; when we close our eyes we imagine we're hearing the real Beatles.

So You Never Went to a Beatles Concert? Here's
Your Chance
1/13/2009
I've had people look at me in awe when I tell them that I saw the Beatles in person when I was thirteen. It is one of the most memorable days of my life.
I emphasize I "saw" the Beatles because
I was so far up in the arena seating, covering my ears to block the intense screaming that I really can't remember "hearing" the Beatles
in concert.
So, fast forward 45 years and I still love them as much as
I did then and on Saturday night, I'm going to see the Beatles...well
almost.
If you or someone you love is still humming to "Yesterday, all my
troubles were so far away..." then bring them to a Beatles concert on
Saturday in Leominster.
I was stunned by the performance of 'Beatles for
Sale' at the Yankee Street Fair. They've got the sound, the pauses, even the accent.
The Band performs in small venues in the area, but Saturdays gig at 7 PM at 268 Washington Street
in Leominster will have a dance floor, a Beatles crowd, and an opportunity to sing along. Tickets will
be on sale at the door.

Dennis M. Cummins, Author and Musician's Networking
Dennis is a published author of short horror fiction. He has published in numerous horror magazines around the country such as: Bloodreams, Nightmares, Sci-Fant, Funerary Journal.
Dennis has completed his first novel, 'Nesters,' and is now submitting to publishing houses. As time permits, he is working on his second Novel and has other short fiction in various stages of completion.
He lives in an old house in Shrewsbury, MA, built in 1850, eleven years before the Civil War, which has become a fascination and the backdrop for his next novel.
He has two wonderful, supportive daughters - Kay and Amy, from his first marriage and a beautiful little granddaughter - Kaitlyn. He lives with his best pal a Shih Tzu named Norman. His name is Norman (Bates) (according to Dennis) because he’s such a little psycho.
Dennis is a member of the "Horror Writers' Association" and has always been an avid horror fan. As a child he'd spent every Friday and Saturday night with his friends and brothers watching the 'B' sci-fi and horror movies. He couldn’t get enough of the Twilight Zone, Outer Limits, Classic Horror Films.
In his younger adult life, he'd worked as one of the 'Living Dead' rising from the graves in one of the largest horror theme parks in the country, Spooky World. He tries to attend at least two writers' conventions per year.
After reading a couple novels by 'some guy' up in Maine, that was the start of his writing career. At first his writing was a, "therapy" (he says) - to unwind after his nine-to-five. After his first short fiction sale, he felt he could be somewhat successful using his creative side.
Due to some personal losses, he'd drifted from the craft for a time. But now... he has been, once again, inspired to write by the warm and wonderful support and encouragement from folks in the "Horror Writers’ Association."
He reads the best in the Horror Genre: Stephen King, Peter Straub, Clive Barker, Lisa Mannetti, Douglas Clegg, Jack Ketchum, Brian Keene, Tim Lebbon, Tom Monteleone, Diana Barron, Marcy Italiano, Chris Golden and lots more up and coming horror writers.
Dennis is also a fabulous musician. He is the rhythm guitarist in the Beatles' Tribute band, 'Beatles For Sale' and has a fantastic collection of vintage Beatle guitars and amps.
"Beatles For Sale" is the fastest-rising, New England based tribute band who work hard and take the Fab Four's music very seriously to recreate the sound as closely as possible. "That's where the true tribute to the Lads comes in," Dennis states.
Feel free to read one of his short stories or visit the bands' pages...

Hi! Just wanted to make sure all my friends know that my new erotic horror novel THE 13TH is now in stores everywhere! I hope you'll check out this debauched and demonic horror ride!
There's even a website devoted just to the book, with an interactive map of the places and characters at www.the13th-horror.com.
Edward Lee called THE 13TH "A double-barreled shotgun blast of macabre entertainment -- an expert amalgamation of grotesquerie, eroticism, mystery, and pitch-black occult horror that no fan of the genre can miss."
And Gary A. Braunbeck said, "John Everson's The 13th is the first out-and-out horror novel in a long while to actually scare the **** out of me while reading it. It's stylish, extremely well-written, filled with richly-drawn characterizations, and boasts a labyrinthine plot worthy of Umberto Eco. Trust me -- this one will fry your nerves and break your heart."
Wishing the ruler of the music AND book scene a... Happy Birthday, Dennis! - Have a day as awesome as you are and may the good times roll all year around!
Just wanted to stop by to say happy birthday Den..... Another year older and new one just begin!!!!!! Hope everything is good with you? Love always your sister
