Daphné is a Montreal born, leap year baby, raised in the cultural richness of her haïtian family. She attended music classes for several years before a heartbreak, at age 14, would change her life forever. That year, she began writing poetry; and the following year, she decided to learn to play guitar to write her own songs. Now, Daphné has bloomed into a beautiful songstress; singing child like joys and soul aching pains of her everyday life, under the warm, jazzy and organic tones of her guitar.
Daphné, née à Montréal, un 29 février, a été élevée dans la richesse culturelle de sa famille haïtienne. Elle a suivi des cours de musique durant de nombreuses années avant qu'une rupture amoureuse, à l'age de 14 ans, change sa vie pour toujours. Cette année là,
elle s'est mise à écrire de la poésie; et l'année suivante, elle décida d'apprendre à jouer de la guitare pour composer ses propres chansons. Maintenant, Daphné s'est épanouie en cantatrice lyrique et sublime, qui chante ses joies enfantines et les maux de son âme, issues de sa vie quotidienne, sous les tons chauds, jazz et organiques de sa guitare.
