Darcy started in Denton, Texas, where Nathan and Dustin were writing songs and wishing they weren't in college. After finishing college, they realized that most of their songs weren't very good, so they wrote some new ones, kept the old ones that their friends really liked, and found a pair of brothers who could sing like angels and rock like emo-scenesters: Gunnar and Chase. Finally, like a child who finds a dandelion in a field of sunflowers, Darcy found their bass player, Andrew, in a field of sunflowers. they decided to tuck their college degrees away for a season when the rocking wasn't so choice, and try to play their songs for other people to hear until the songs or the people run out.
