| General | All things relating to Music, the beach when it's deserted, astronomy, art, nature, music, physics, humor, sarcasm, music, stirring conversation, arguing over semantics...did I mention music? | | Music | I can pretty much appreciate any style of music that's interesting and well executed. My personal taste ranges from Classical to some of the heaviest Metal. I'm also a huge Pink Floyd fan...David Gilmour is God. | | Movies | My favorite is "What Dreams May Come." Anything interesting, suspenseful, or really funny. Music documentaries, concert films. Some horror, but you can keep the gory, slasher stuff. About me:
I'm a live audio engineer and singer-songwriter. Though I have to admit, I don't perform as much as I should as a musician anymore. I find myself more at home behind a console. Mixing is an art that allows me to create and not have to deal with my stage-fright anymore! Plus I love what I do. As with most people involved in the music biz, I'm a little crazy and have a somewhat twisted sense of humor... You have been warned! heheh... Oh, and as goes with the territory, I'm nocturnal. I get home when most people wake up. Mornings are evil unless I'm awake already!

Who I'd like to meet:
Let's get this out of the way...Friend requests from complete strangers, besides bands, that arrive without a message are spam. Introduce yourself and tell me why you think we should be friends. If you can't take the time, or lack the ability, to compose a properly written note, it is unlikely we have much in common. I apologize if that seems harsh. The truth often is.

Intelligent, creative people that can hold interesting conversations involving subjects other than what's on TV! I'll admit, I have no patience left for the media or for those too lazy to think as a result of their overindulgence in it. If you're one of those people that needs a DVD player in your car, and you have no idea how to turn your cell-phone off, I doubt we'll have much in common.

My idea of entertainment is to actually do something. Going to see bands, late night walks on the beach while discussing the cosmos, a trip to a museum or arboretum, a hike in the woods... and of course music, music, music!

I am not looking to start a new family or to be anyone's mommy. The ex is gone at my request, and I've almost finished raising my kids, thank you very much. Nor do I desire to be controlled or subservient. Trust me, I enjoy my freedom too much for that to happen. However, I do welcome friends with which to share the marvels of life. And most importantly, to join in making tasteless, sarcastic jokes about the rest of the crap that comes with it. Oh... and being an artistic, "refuses to fit the box" type is a real plus. We need to stick together, you know!
