Ever since I won a poetry contest in the high school paper when I was 13, I have loved to write. Words are magical, and books can open your mind to new places and ideas.
Background: After focusing on missions and teaching in my 20's, I switched to a successful career in sales working for such companies as the Southwestern Book Company, Comdata Networks and Ramada Inns, I made the decision to leave the bigger money for a more fulfilling career when I returned to ministry working with Youth For Christ. I have second-guessed myself many times since then but never been sorry for my change in direction.
Nashville Youth for Christ: As Director of Development for Nashville Youth for Christ, I learned the ins and outs of event planning for concerts, banquets, and other events while I pursued fund raising for the organization. It was in while trying to raise funds and awareness for the YFC that I became aware of the need for a non-denominational Christian publication that would give ministries and churches a stronger voice in the Nashville community. This led me to start the Koinonia Concert Calendar at Koinonia Bookstore in the late 1980s.
ChristianActivities.com:
After I left Koinonia, a friend at the William Morris Agency suggested I take the knowledge and information I developed publishing the Koinonia Concert Calendar and start a monthly magazine for Nashville, so in 1992, Christian Activities Magazine was born. ChristianActivities.com website launched in 1996. ChristianActivities.com now boasts around 12,000 unique visitors a month.
Publisher: I have written and compiled several books through the years starting with "The Creative ReSource Directory" for Nashville's Christian music industry, to several "Anthology of Christian Poetry" editions, to the A Tribute to Mayberry poetry books.
A Tribute to Mayberry is a heart-warming collection of poems by various writers from across the country with one thing in common - they all love "The Andy Griffith Show."
Poet: My poems have been featured in Silver Leaves - the Journal of the White Tree Fund, In Fellowship - the Journal of the Tolkien Gathering, Christmas Tyme in Rhyme, Christian Poet's Pen, The Anthology of Christian Poetry, Moody Broadcasting Network, and more.
Ghostwriter: I can take your press releases and articles and rewrite them using current SEO and LSI techniques for keyword density and search optimization. Let me know if I can help you!
Speaker: I am available to speak at seminars and conventions on book promotions for authors on a tight budget.

Mark Schultz & Point of Grace in Nashville September 13
The Point of Grace and Mark Schulz Come Alive Tour is coming to Nashville, this Sunday, September 13! Mark Schultz and the Point of Grace girls will appear in concert this Sunday at Two Rivers Baptist Church Sunday at 6pm.
Who I'd like to meet: Jesus, J.R.R. Tolkien, C. S. Lewis and people who enjoy Mayberry, Christian music, family entertainment, and good literature.
Thanks for the add, Kathryn. You know, I still have a copy of both your 1994 and 1997 Creative ReSource directories. I thought I had one from the 80's too. I also went to Koinonia in the early days. You have been a big help to Christian music, thank you. If you notice any of my writings on my page that you'd like to share with your readers just let me know. I submitted a few when I was on MySpace last year. I'm just setting it up again. Best Wishes! Angel Isaacs
Welcome Kathryn, It is such an honor for me to have you on my friends list and to pray for you. Let me know if you have any specific requests. “Be anxious for nothing, but in everything by prayer and supplication, with thanksgiving, let your requests be made known to God; and the peace of God, which surpasses all understanding, will guard your hearts and minds through Christ Jesus.” Philippians 4:6-7
It's an honor and pleasure to approve your Friend Request! I sure did enjoy visiting your site. Here's hoping 2009 will be a blessed and successful year for you!
Keep on the Sunny Side! Gene Eric Mann, Booking Agent Mayberry Productions
Hey Kathryn, Glad you got to see Riverdance. It comes here in Appleton, WI in April and I am going to see it a couple times, hopefully. Read some of your articles and always enjoy your writings. :-D
As you may or may not know, I turned twenty-five recently. Instead of gifts this year, I'm asking everyone to join my Email List on www. jjhebert. net. Unconventional, my newest novel, will be published by Mindstir Media later this year, and joining the Email List will ensure that you receive updates regarding my book release, contests, giveaways, and more.
Hey Kathryn, Thanks. Christmas was nice. New Years eve is really busy at work so probably a 12 hour night, but at least off on the 1/1/09 day. Was nice to have Christmas day off too. Lots of snow up here. Have a Happy New Year. I am sure you had a good Christmas too :-)
