    DARGE - BRAZILIAN/JAPANESE EVIL RAW THRASH METALIC CRUST HARDCORE PUNK BASTARD'S.. Darge and their “憎悪 – Ódio” [Hate] driving the world! The world is undoubtedly driven by feelings, good or otherwise. Greed, selflessness, intolerance, benevolence, egocentrism, compassion, ignorance... Well, there are many sides to just one coin (which is the Earth). If to define Darge – a threesome formed in Gifu, Japan, in 2004 – a single feeling had to be chosen, hate would be the best fit. The reason is simple, it would be used as a form of expression against hypocrisy, corruption, religious fanaticism, social inequality and so many other illnesses that run rampant throughout the world. After appearing in local compilation “Noise Of Mind Vol. 2” and releasing a CD-demo, “Scum Society”, the band went through some changes in line-up. In 2007, guitarist and vocalist Oze found two partners who brought even more rage to Darge: drummer Shinnosuke (formerly of J.U.U.M) and bass player and vocalist Yaekashi. The latter, a Brazilian living in Japan that through his label (..Karasu Killer Records...) and a very strong will (besides working around 12 hours a day in a factory he still has time to perform as the lead singer in crossover foursome ..N.E.K...) has earned respect in the Japanese scene and while on that, took much of the Brazilian underground there. With this line-up, Darge started playing more frequently and started to give shape to a unique sound by mixing their personal influences, that went from Japanese hardcore like S.D.S. to Brazilian origins with names like Olho Seco, Ratos de Porão and Lobotomia. The British (G.B.H., English Dogs, Antisect and Motörhead) and Swedish (Anti Cimex, Wolfpack e Driller Killer) are also amongst their preferences. The band has already had its music released (on vinyl, cassette, CD and CD-R) in Asia, North America, Europe and South America, among these releases are “Desespero”(MCR Company), “4 Way For Destruction”(Cospe Fogo Gravações, Karasu Killer Records) (next to the Japanese from Encroached and the Brazilians from Massacre Em Alphaville and Under The Ruins) and a split-cassette with the Americans from Secret Sect. With that much material everywhere, the solution was to gather the songs and and put everything on an album, with a few live tracks as a bonus. So, in 2010, anticipating Darge’s Brazilian tour – remember the feeling from the introduction on this text! – the album “憎悪 – Ódio” [Hate] is released. In the record, with artwork created by Estenio Napalmer (Hellsakura), are 11 tracks with a chaotic mix of the aforementioned influences, which is enhanced with the explosion of crust energy, D-Beat atmosphere, punk rawness and electrifying rock and roll solos. Songs like “Scum Society”, “No Reason Power”, “Vicious Circle” and “Distinction of View” are examples of that. When you think the energy (or maybe hate) has hit its peak, tracks in which the speed is even higher – “Insanity”, “Meu Desespero” [My Despair] and “Reveal it!!” – and the screaming is even more intense show us that Darge is not fucking around. Fast, short and vigorous, “Nunca Mais” [Never Again] is the album’s main highlight! In this song it is clear that the mix of Japanese hardcore with a Brazilian punk flavour works out better than imagined. In what can be seen as a real independent cooperative, “憎悪 – Ódio” [Hate] is released by labels from several different places: Karasu Killer (Japan), Balboa Discos (São Paulo), Nausearréia Recs (Tocantins), Úlcera Brutal Records (Santa Catarina), Xaninhos Discos Falidos (Belém), Massive Records (Goiás), Parayba Records (Rio de Janeiro) and Overall Records (Rio Grande do Sul). The album ends with the live set of “Feel Your Vibration”, “Change” e “Sufocado” [Suffocated], where you can picture how this trio behaves onstage – which they have shared, by the way, with the Japanese of D-Clone, Unholy Grave and Flash Gordon, besides MeinhoF (England), Fy Fan (Sweden), Destino Final (Spain), Hellsakura (Brazil), among others. Well, if hate is one of the many feelings that drive the world, it is possible to say that the world should brace itself, because Darge is ready to change it...
