Darin and Brooke Aldridge’s music is rising toward the top in their field. IBMA has chosen them to be an official showcase artist for 2009.Bluegrass Unlimited has said they have set a new standard of excellence in bluegrass gospel. And the Gospel Roots chart has chosen their CD I’ll Go With You 1 already this year. Darin and Brooke produce powerful vocals and perfect instrumentation along with professionalism and message to deliver a most memorable acoustic music experience.

genuine sound that's hard to match.
Through each band member its clear that they each have

Darin Aldridge is a native of Cherryville, NC. He
has been singing and picking on something since early
childhood in church and around his family. Darin's
first band at the age 16 was a bluegrass gospel band
called the Straight and Narrow. After high school
Darin toured the U.S. and Canada with The Country
Gentleman for seven years, earning him four
nominations for bluegrass mandolin player of the year
in Nashville, TN. Darin recorded three projects with
The Country Gentlemen, the first "Crying in the
Chapel" received a IBMA nomination for gospel event of
the year. The last project "Songs of the American
Spirit" won the SPBGMA 2005 best bluegrass album of
the year. The Country Gentlemen were asked to be part
of the 2005 Presidential Inauguration in Washington
D.C. Darin's current solo project, "Call it a Day" is
on Pinecastle records. For the last 3 years Darin
has been on tour with one of the turns in his career
with the band known as The Circuit Riders. The band
released a recording in February and has already
landed a spot on the National charts, at 10 with the
song Powderfinger.
Also in 2006, Darin joined up with extraordinary
vocalist Brooke Justice to perform several festivals
and fairs as well as Tweetsie Railroad and many
churches throughout the southern states. Darin is also
a Music Instructor . After years of giving private
lessons in his studio, teaching at Gaston School of
the Arts, a member of IBMA and working with the
nationally recognized Accutab sessions, Darin endorses
Gibson Instruments, GHS strings, Michael Kelly
Instruments, Emore Straps , and is currently signed to
Pinecastle Records
Brooke Justice Aldridge is a 24 year old young lady who began
singing at the age of 5. Her love for the Lord and her
family have been two inspirations in her life that
have really inspired her to do what she loves the
most- SING! As a child Brooke's parents always
encouraged her to sing in many competitions in hopes
that someone would eventually discover her talent.
While winning many competitions Brooke never really
knew how much she loved to sing until she reached the
age of a teenager. Success in countless competitions
led her to venture out beyond home, and in 2004 she
competed in the regionals of the Nashville Star
competition in Columbus, Georgia, where she finished
third in a talented group of more than one hundred
hopefuls. In 2007 Brooke recorded her very first CD and landed a record contract with Pinecastle Records. She has been putting audiences in all with her amazing voice in front of crowds from the church houses to MerleFest. It's no kept secret that this young woman It's no kept secret that this young woman has a God
given ability to sing and loves every opportunity she
gets to shine for God.
Chris Bryant is from Ronda in eastern Wilkes County
N.C. He has played banjo with various local bands for
the last thirty five years. Chris was 1979 N.C. State
Champion banjo player, Chris has toured with The
Country Gentlemen and also recorded with Darin on his
[Call It A Day] Cd,. Chris has worked with Arthur
Smith of Dueling Banjos fame doing commercial radio as
well as recording one album with Smith &Joe Maphis on
the CMH label. Chris currently works with Sammy Shelor
and AcuTab fabricating the Shelor fingerpicks as well
as custom banjo parts, accessories & supplies to other
nationally known instrument builders in the Nashville
area.
Eddie Biggerstaff is from Cleveland County and now
living in Waco N.C. Eddie grew up singing in church
with his farther and grandfather in a quartet and knew
early on he had a gift of singing. He went on to
becoming involved in many regional bands such as
Brushy Creek and Carolina Crossfire. Eddie has spent
the last seven years with the band Blueridge Touring
the U.S. and Canada. Eddie has been up for Bass
playing of the year twice by SPBGMA in Nashville T.N.
and in 2006 the recording [Getting Ready] was
nominated by the IBMA for Gospel recording of the
year. Eddie's resume also includes Rambler's Choice,
Larry Rice and the great mandolin player Herschel
Sizemore. He was asked to play bass at the Roanoke
Bluegrass Weekend concert, which features most of the
elite in bluegrass music today. Eddie is a seasoned
professional who adds energy and a distinctive edge to
the band.
Perry Woodie brings many years of playing to the
quintet. Perry lives in Linville Falls N.C. He is no
stranger to Gospel music, he has spent many years with
bands such as The Narrow Way Quartet and Damascus Road
where he has recorded five projects singing and
playing Dobro and Banjo. In 1999 Perry was called to
go with the band Standing Tall. He traveled all over
the eastern U.S. and recorded one project titled
[God Works Wonders] In 2001 Perry took a gig with
a band a little closer home in the mountains of N.C.
called The Linville Ridge Band. They recorded two
projects and have played many festivals and events in
Appalachians area.
