Dark Essence pumps out the newest and finest electro / industrial live every week on 4ZzZfm. The show began in late 2006 as a general dark-alternative program covering everything from goth & dark indie to experimental noise. Since then the scope of the show has narrowed significantly. Genres heard on the show today include EBM, dark trance, industrial, power-noise, electro-goth, coldwave, synthpop, martial, "hellektro", "darkwave" and other sounds that could fit under the general tag of "industrial"....
Dark Essence airs LIVE every Monday night from 10pm til Midnight AEST* and is based in Brisbane, Australia. Tune in locally on 102.1fm or stream online at http://stream.4zzzfm.org.au. Our RADIO signal can be received across Brisbane and out to parts of the Gold and Sunshine Coasts and Toowoomba.

ABOUT THE STATION:
4ZZZ is Brisbane's best independent radio station, blasting fresh local and underground music through your radio. We represent all styles of sound, most of which are ignored by mainstream media outlets. Unlike most other radio stations, our announcers don't adhere to playlists - this means they play what they want to, when they want to.
Although we don't have to pay large commercial licensing fees or large salary bills, we still incur all the running costs of any radio station: commercial or community. All our fundraising is done independently and we are fiercely proud of this independence.
The Programming structure of 4ZZZ can be divided two ways; "strip" and "block" shows. Strip shifts are your basic music shift, where a wide variety of music and information is broadcast. Block shifts, on the otherhand cater for a specific group of listeners; playing music (and broadcasting information) of a certain stylistic range.

The stations main source of income is generated from subscribers.
