    I'd have to say that my biggest love is of cousre--Symphonic "Fantasy" Metal. I also enjoy Trance/Techno (if someone could suggest to me some good musicians that is) And then there's Europop and New-Age/Ambient and cultural/traditional music too.

    Fantasy Metal: ANNATAR, Blind Guardian, Demons & Wizards, Lunatica, Midnattsol, Nightwish, Rhapsody, Sirenia, Sonata Arctica, Within Temptation (Symphonic Fantasy Metal--the greatest of music--in my opinion.)

    Metal: Disturbed, Korn, Lacuna Coil, Marylin Manson, Rob Zombie, SKYWARD, System of A Down (Hey, what can I say? I'm a headbanging metal-head.)

    New-Age, Ambient, Tradtional: Blue Stone, Burzum, Celtic music, Enya, Eri Sugai, Garmarna, Norse Music, Rasa, Seay, Yuki Kajiura (When I need to relax and enjoy a little culture.)

    Europop: ABBA, Ace Of Base, AQUA, Caramell, Cataar, Delerium, Eifle 65, Smile.dk, The Rasmus, t.A.T.u. (Because--in my opinion--Americans really can't make decent pop. Please recommend more, I don't know many artists.)

    Other Music; Evanescence, Everclear, Madonna, Queen of the Damned (soundtrack), Sailor Moon (soundtrack) (Just other stuff which doesn't really have a category.)

Nulinya's Sailor Moon Shrine

Hi, I'm Katherine (Kat for short) and I am a self-styled Fantasy-Nerd with a little Computer-Geek on the side. I love creating fictional worlds with their own peoples, cultures, languages, styles of magic etc. I also love music too and am very talented in that area.

This might surprise some, but I am "legally blind" meaning that my vision is poor enough to classify me as "disabled". I have 2400/20 (normally sighted people have 20/20) and use a combination of technology/tools to make things accessible to me. Some of these items include: ZoomText (a computer program that enlarges the entire screen of the computer with a little added speech/screenreading), a CCTV (which does the same except for books/print materials), 15x hand-held magnifier - it's officially called a "Loupe" by the way (which is only really good for LCD screens), I also use a white cane (*glances around for mobility instructors hiding in the shadows*...which I should be using more often then not...) Anyway, those are some of the things I use to make my life easier. Also, I read everything I can in high contrast and with a lighter text color on a darker colored background (i.e. white-on-black). The more it contrasts the better.

I'm not much of an animal lover - probably because I can't touch them/they move to fast for me to see but I do have a place in my heart for cats and snakes. I've got a gray adult male with beautiful golden eyes, Andre, who I love to death and a baby ball python, Patch, who's doing well. Constrictors are awesome, and snakes are NOT innately evil by the way - unless you startle them then they'll strike like any other sensible creature when it feels threatened.
