A melting pot of mainly Heavy Metal & Hard Rock. The band listens to everything so there are probably some subtle influences coming from other styles of music such as Blues, Jazz, Progressive, New Age, Classical, World and Ambient Music too.
Sounds Like
A variety of heavy metal and hard rock styles. This band keeps an open mind and isn't afraid to play what comes naturally. Dark Embrace isn't stuck in any specific sub-genre of metal or rock and is willing to experiment and try new musical ideas.
Formed and based in Jonesboro, Arkansas, the years of collective musical experience of DARK EMBRACE has helped the group gain a solid reputation in the Mid-South underground metal scene for it's numerous and powerful live performances, musical virtuosity, bold lyrical statements, and charismatic personalities. DARK EMBRACE released a 5 song EP in 2007 which sold over a few hundred copies locally and was played regularly in a couple of local radio markets. DARK EMBRACE is currently writing and recording new and more ambitious music which more accurately reflects the band's current musical mindset. DARK EMBRACE plans to achieve their biggest musical goals yet when they release a three song demo of this new music sometime in the fall of 2009; a full record will be completed in 2010.
