Prendete il Roipnol per esempio rendetelo un pochino più pericoloso e più o meno avrete il Darkene, farmaco ormai raro, che crea una forte sensazione d’incoscienza, è il farmaco da cui abbiamo preso il nome proprio per questo, perché provoca uno stato d’ipnosi molto affascinante. L'ipnosi infatti, racchiude la purezza di una persona e ne esalta la sincerità, merce introvabile di questi tempi...
Quello che ci ha portato qui...ora, a parlare del Darkene è un progetto cominciato un paio di anni fa quando Manuel (chitarra) Denis (voce) Andrea (basso) e Primo (batteria) si unirono per dare vita alle loro emozioni in musica. Dopo sei mesi di duro lavoro in sala prove, nell'inverno del 2005 i Darkene portarono per la prima volta sul palco le loro creature, da li seguirono vari concerti e partecipazioni a concorsi musicali che diedero i loro frutti quando, nel giugno del 2006 si aggiudicarono il premio della critica al BarbaranoRock. Nel frattempo tra un concerto e l'altro ci fu l'occasione di conoscere gli I.W.H. e con loro di creare la Violent Family, una famigliola che unisce i due gruppi con lo scopo di spalleggiarsi e di portare avanti la propria musica senza rivalità e con tanta passione.
Nel Novembre del 2006 i Darkene sciolsero il loro legame con Denis, trovandosi per un breve periodo a cercare una nuova voce in grado dar fiato e far rivivere le loro creature, fu così che poco dopo arrivò Alberto.
Non siamo bravi a trasmettere con le parole ciò che amiamo della nostra musica, ancora più difficile per noi è accostare il nostro stile ad uno già conosciuto non avendo mai avuto un gruppo di riferimento per creare le nostre canzoni, possiamo dire che ci sentiamo musicalmente legati al nu-metal, dalle prime sperimentazione degli anni 90 a quello attuale. Noi adoriamo quella musica dove l'aggressività danza con l'intelligenza e la precisione si fonde con l'istinto...
BIOGRAPHY
Take the Roipnol, for instance, make it a little more dangerous and, more or less, you’ll get the Darkene, a rare drug now, which causes a strong unconsciousness sensation: that’s why we chose this drug for the name of the band, because it causes a very charming hypnotic condition.
In fact, hypnosis holds people’s purity and praises their sincerity, unobtainable goods as the times go….
What leads us here…now…to talk about Darkene is a project, begun 2 years ago, when Manuel (guitar), Denis (vocals), Andrea (bass) and Primo (drums) joined together to start their emotions in music. After six months of hard work, in winter of 2005 the Darkene took their creatures for the first time on the stage and from then many concerts and taking part in musical contests followed, which yielded their fruit when, in June of 2006, We gained the Prize of Jury at BarbaranoRockContest.
In the meantime, among a concert and another, We had the chance to know the I.W.H. (I Was Here) and with them to create the Violent Family, a little family which join these two bands with the purpose to support each other and to carry out our own music without rivalry and with so much passion.
In November of 2006 the Darkene broke their tie with Denis, finding theirselfes for a short period to look for a new voice able to give breath and to bring their creatures to life again: that’s how not long after Alberto arrived.
We are not clever to transmit with words what we love of our music, even more difficult for us it’s to approach our style to one already known: in fact, we haven’t a reference band to create our songs,
we can say that we musically feel bound to the nu-metal, from the first experimentations of the 90’s to the actual.
We adore that kind of music where aggressiveness dances with intelligence and precision melts with instinct...
