Established in November 2004, Darken Records is an independently owned and run label based in Newcastle, New South Wales, Australia. Our aim and reason with the label is to help bands release their music and give them an opportunity and exposure which they wouldn't normally receive. We do not 'sign' bands as we do not want to have any control of the bands involved with us, and we do not want the bands to feel that they have obligations to do what is in our best interests. We are not out to make profits, but to help out bands and the Australian hardcore/punk music scene in general. Our main music focus is punk, hardcore, screamo, thrash, power violence, metalcore, acoustic, and pretty much anything that is associated. Current and upcoming releases include:
