About me: Hmm, what does one put in these spaces? Well, as I'm sure you smart people reading this have realised, my name is Nate. I'm a true blue two-headed Tasmanian, and I've got the scar to prove it. I've lived in both ends of the state, but since I've had the choice where to live I've stayed in Hobart.
That said, I don't plan on staying here forever. It'll always be home, but within the next couple of years I'd like to move to the north island for a while, experience what it's actually like living in one of the big cities. Until this year I hadn't actually seen anything on the north island other than Melbourne, so I packed up the bike and went riding for three weeks through Victoria and NSW, all the way up to Brisbane - and back again. Great trip, good eye opener. Didn't actually go into Sydney or Brisbane, but had fun through the country regions. I'll take a plane to either of them another time and explore by foot/train.
I just mentioned the bike - I'm a motorcyclist. Sold my car in '06 and bought a bike. Best choice ever. There's so much more freedom on a bike that you don't get in a car. I do need to get another car some time though, you can't really carry a guitar amp on the back of a bike.
I play guitar in a band, a local covers outfit. We're getting started, this year I hope is where we get out onto the city scene. Stay tuned for more news on that one.
Well that's about me, I ride, I'm in a band, I travel when I can and want to more. Some things I want to to are riding round the country, around the world, an adventure tour of NZ, backpacking through Europe....there's a lot out there. I'm getting through it slowly.
Who I'd like to meet: People who are going places, or have been places. Other riders, people with an upbeat outlook on life, musicians, anyone who loves just having fun! Oh, and your mum! :P

As much as I always appreciate your opinion, I'm not sure that I was implying you in this case. Then again, I was smashed and really have no idea at all. It's crazy though. My inbox went nuts with my "international/interstate" friends. Pretty sure what I was after an opinion about wasn't anything to do with the Blog. More what was on my mind whilst typing it.
Indeed it would have been. And I would have loved to have had Butt Ugly Barbie there. Unfortunately, their guitarist is out of the state. And all other bands I know in Hobart are veterans so a little out of my budget range.
