Darkness in Flames was born in 1996, in São Paulo, Brazil, idealized by Victor Hugo (dr) and Rodrigo Paste (bass), and some more friends. They started playing covers of their favorite bands, like Iron Maiden, Motorhead, Slayer, Saxon,Venom and other great metal bands.
In 1999, with a most solid line up since than in beginning, the band led to they own work, and the first songs “Wise Destiny”, “Dangerous Fate” and “Prophecy Of Time” were made. At this time, the band started to make some local shows, with emphasis on “Metal vs. Fome Festival”, when the band played for a public of 900 people.
The following years were marked by new changes for the band, especially regarding its line-up. In the end of 2004, the guitar player Leandro Sillva (ex. Conspiracy) and João Gobo (Arum/Scars) joint the band, along with Aivan Moura (ex. Invaders) for the front man position. With this new arrangement, the band set up the recording of its first ep, “Dangerous Fate”, which comprises 4 songs, in 2006.
During the recording sessions, Leandro Sillva left the band for personal reasons, only finishing the guitars recording.
Finally, in May of 2007, Rafael Orsi join the band!
In 2008, after "Dangerous Fate" has got good reviews in East Europe and Brazil, reaching some important sites and magazines, Rodrigo Paste left the band for having diferent views and purposes of musical direction.
For his place, Darkness In Flames called João Lucio (Discordia/Diezel).
At the moment, the band is in studio recording the first album, which is supposed to be released this year.
