"BLOODLETTING" Featuring DARKSIDE songs "The Reign" & "Dream Of Witches"
Formed in 1993, Darkside quickly established themselves as a musical force in the Midwest. With their dark, haunting rhythms and powerful vocals, Darkside released a self titled EP and 6 song "Eternal Tears" cd, earning vocalist Steve Bentley Banzai Magazine's "Best Vocalist of 94" award. The band embarked throughout the area playing virtually every show offered to them and word soon spread through the Kansas City area of Darkside, their sound compared to old Savatage, Sanctuary, Lizzy Borden, Metal Church and Judas Priest.
The band's music has been featured in several horror movies such as " Bloodletting", "I've Killed Before", "Moonchild", "Violent New Breed" among several others. Darkside has also been featured on the FEH Magazine & Inferno Music compilition CD's. In early 98 after several lineup changes, the permanent band released the 5 song EP, "Creative Vengeance" which over 2000 independent copies have been distributed to fans in Sweden, England, Ireland, Canada, Europe, Australia, and throughout the United States.
After countless shows playing in parking lots, haunted houses and all area clubs, the band soon garnered media attention from Pitchweekly, Transcendence, Banzai and FEH magazines. Pitchweekly compaired the band to heavy metal legend Ozzy Osbourne, in their love for the crowd and constant participation of their audiences with every song. Banzai magazine presented the band an award for "Most Outstanding Video" for the self produced "Evolution Of Darkness" home video which features videos for songs "October Moon" and "Final Eclipse". Darkside has opened for headliners such as Flotsam & Jetsam, Fight and Strutter as well as headlining shows throughout Missouri, Kansas, Iowa and Colorado. The band has also released their first full length CD, entitled "Masquerade", their most powerful release. The 11 song's range from the powerful title track, to the classical entwines of "Dreaming In Black", the groove of "Cry Out", to the all out power metal of "Faces Of Death". The artwork for "Masquerade" was done by reputable artist Gery Nible, who's credits include artwork for Overkill, Testament, Exodus, and most notably, SLAYER.
In 2001, Darkside played the Powermad Festival in Baltimore Maryland with Helstar, Overlorde, October 31, Brave, along many other power metal band's. In 2003, Darkside were proud to share the stage opening for Strapping Young Lad, Body Count, M.O.D., Cage and so many more at the 2003 Milwaukee Metalfest.
Currently the band is working on a new lineup change and will be coming out with a fresh sound and attitude in 2009, so we'll see you soon!

After the releasing the album: Agony – Gift of life and the European tour,
Insania decided to have a longer break. This was two years ago, and there have
been nothing to report about the swedish Power/Metal-band, until now.
The new INSANIA line-up from january 2010 contains the following members:

Peter Östros – Lead guitar
Henrik Juhano – Guitar
Dimitri Keiski – Bass
Patrik Västilä – Keyboards
Mikko Korsbäck – Drums
We feel obligated to point out that that Johan Fahlberg is not leaving JADED
HEART, he is still the lead vocalist of the German band.
