darkslider was concieved in 1999 as a base for sound experimentation.
The first accumalitive compositions or "pieces" were divulged in various formats and under different pseudonyms but would eventuate in to what would be known as darkslider.
A first (un official ep titled 'Demo's', featuring 9 songs was released in early 2005 and released on his own label Misspelled Records.
Soon after recording 'Demos' slider returned to the dungeon and recorded 'Noise in under a Minute' which featured 20 short misses.
In 2007 'Landscapes' was born which was the succesor to 'Noise.'
Much longer in length but with just as much ferocity these tracks were drowned in harsh caustic commotion, almost Minimal in it surroundings and diffusive at best.
Also released the same year was the mini cd 'Introducing' with the favourite Vegetable Juice for Breakfast showing much brilliance in a deranged experience of mood.
Between 2007-08 Sheddan fiddled with orchestrations and pencil and came up with 'Hollow' almost a unrelated clashing to Floyds 'Shine on you Crazy Diamond' and 'Journey's a 3 track ambient excursion.
More short ep's similar to 'Hollow' were released including 'Introvert' and 'z-talk'
2008 also seen more music emancipated in the 10 track release of 'For Film' in it's schizophrenic glory.
2009 so far has been very busy with a release so far of 6 albums.

It's been awhile - sorry there hasn't been in any Australian shows for many months but we've been busy in Europe with a bunch of touring and we're now recording our new album in Berlin (scheduled for release in March). But to make up for it, here's a big (and silly) Merry Christmas from us (and from some hippos too) :
